Join the Heroes of Mavia Uptober Mint on October 3rd

Following the launch of the Web Ruby Marketplace and the roadmap reveal for the rest of the year, web3 game developer Skrice Studios has now announced that a surprise Uptober Mint will take place on October 3rd at 8 AM EST for players of Heroes of Mavia to participate in using their hard-earned Ruby. (Edit: Mint postponed to October 5th at 8 AM EST)

What’s Included in the Heroes of Mavia Uptober Mint?

According to the official announcement from the CEO of the game’s marketplace, Sterling, you can look forward to minting 4 new NFTs on the Ruby Marketplace. While not specifically stated, this probably means that you will have the opportunity to try your luck at quickly minting one or more of these assets on both the browser-based and in-game version of the Ruby Marketplace. All you need is to have enough Ruby ready for this first come, first serve mint. If this works the same as it did with Consumables, then players will likely be limited to minting 1 per account for the first 24 hours. If not, there will still definitely be some kind of limit on the number of NFTs you can mint in a certain timeframe that will later be lifted, as revealed by the Sterling Discord Bot in the game's official server.

If you’ve been saving up Ruby, then now might be the time to spend some of it on these 4 new items:

• Classroom – A new Decoration NFT of Common rarity, featuring a total supply of 10,000 and a price of 850 Ruby per NFT.
• Fireworks Factory – Also a new Decoration NFT to place in one of the unlockable land plots around your base. This one however is of Rare rarity, and comes with a total supply of 5,000, with each priced at 3000 Ruby.
• Super Mavian Explosive Mine – This is the first cosmetic skin for the Explosive Mine, one of the 2 types of traps currently available in the web3 game. Only 500 of these are up for grabs for 1000 Ruby each at Rare rarity.
• Super Mavian Flying Bomb – Just like the new skin for the Explosive Mine, the Super Mavian Flying Bomb is also the first skin for the Flying Bomb trap. It has the exact same price, rarity, supply, and red coat of paint as the Super Mavian Explosive Mine.

While these 4 new items should all be available on the scheduled date, Sterling's tweet does actually tease that more new items will be popping up all throughout this October, so if the assets currently revealed aren’t of interest to you, then you might prefer to keep a lookout for future assets that could potentially drop during this month and be more to your liking.

Not only can you look forward to more items for this month, but you can even look forward to a new NFT mint taking place at some point in November, according to the roadmap that was revealed last month. That one might even let you spend $MAVIA tokens, as November should be the month when the core governance token gets integrated into the marketplace of the strategic mobile title alongside a Ruby Swap tool to let you exchange your Ruby for $MAVIA at an unspecified rate.

Heroes of Mavia Consumables NFTs Are Now Live!

In case you missed it, September 25th marked the introduction of Consumable NFTs to the Ruby Marketplace.

Consumable NFTs are tradable assets that can only be used once. These one-time use items can help you speed up your progression in free to play strategy game Heroes of Mavia in different ways, and as such can be a nice alternative to the in-app purchases available in the game, as those require having enough of the premium currency Sapphire to buy them, while Consumables can be bought using Ruby, the earnable in-game currency.

There are 4 types of Consumable NFTs you can buy, all of which collectively had a 120,000 total supply at the time of the announcement, so that’s probably been lowered by now.

You can buy them in-game or through the Web Ruby Marketplace at a limit of 10 per each item per account, which is a total of 120 NFTs per account. These are the available assets:

• Training Capsule – Speed up Unit training to quickly get back to raiding!
• Gold Capsule – Increases Gold production
• Oil Capsule – Boosts Oil production
• Army Airdrop Capsule – Fills up available space in Rally Points with various random Units

Each of these Capsules actually comes in 3 different levels that can change their duration and effect. When it comes to Army Airdrop Capsules, using one of higher level will actually require you to have your HQ upgraded to a certain level to make it possible to activate the item.
