Influence, a space-based role-playing game has announced it will finally be going live.
Via a blog, the platform said,
“Though we expected to hear about new releases from Influence over the summer, we ended up having to wait a little longer. But that wait is now over! Influence has a date for a limited mainnet release, and general plans for further updates later this year.”
The initial plan was that Influence would function on Starlet, and were working on making Starknet ready before the time. Now, Influence is ready to go and will go live at 14:00 UTC on October 12th. Players can now connect their resources to Starknet, scan asteroids and give them names, add new crewmates, and name them.
The following testnet pre-release will have a complete gameplay of reaping and refining resources, creating bases, and making ships. It will also have missions and events where individuals can gain assets, titles, and other collectibles. The in-game token, SWAY, will also be in the release. After the testnet is upgraded, it will be fully launched on the mainnet.
In the virtual world of Influence, a space-themed MMORPG, players find themselves on a colony ship that has reached an unexpected halt due to discovering inhabitable planets at their intended destination. After much deliberation, the ship commander decides to establish a settlement within an asteroid belt, initiating the construction of a new society. As players begin to stake their claims on specific asteroids, the scene is set for the arrival of mining crews, trading hubs, and the inevitable clashes for resources and power.
Apart from asteroids and ships, players also possess Crew NFTs, which allow them to craft unique background stories for their characters. This involves creating narrative paths through text-based choices, influencing the attributes and capabilities of each Crew member within the game, thereby offering players a chance to personalize their NFTs.
