Infinite Fleet, a free-to-play sci-fi MMO strategy game developed by Pixelmatic and published by Exordium, has been updated to version 2.6, bringing in major new additions to the Web3 title such as Assault Mode and more.
Version 2.6 Details
Assault Mode is a new ship ability that is activated by equipping the new Transformation Engine on your ship. Doing so transforms your ship into an offensive mech that comes with increased turning speed and attack stats at the expense of movement speed and defense. This significant new feature is said to unlock a diverse range of playstyles, abilities and weapon loadouts, making your fleet more customizable than before.
Next to this feature, the latest version also introduces 3 new star systems: MiYU, Zemaiteja and Rico. They can be accessed using the Galaxy Map.
New missions have been added alongside Atrox boss ships and an in-game Special Events system, while new background ambient music for White Dwarf Stars, Red Giant Stars, and Blue Stars further enhances your spacefaring experience. Speaking of music, the audio engine has been upgraded from Wwise to FMOD, and numerous visual improvements have also been made alongside GPU, CPU and memory optimizations.
Players will find that that they can spend R&D tokens at new R&D Containers while being able to earn R&D tokens with newly added Loot Drops. The Ship Level cap has been upped to level 40, and the Commander Level cap has also been increased from level 29 to level 39, allowing players to unlock various new items and weapons.
