After months of development, Imperium Empires finally released a web-based P2E NFT game called Apollo. This marks a huge step forward for the project, as the team is now moving closer to launching the Alpha game in Q4 2022. With P2E features available in Apollo, it is possible for players to start earning in-game rewards as well.
To begin with, Apollo is a game separated from Imperium Empires' Alpha game. Only NFT spaceship holders can access it for now. Within Apollo, players can mine, lurk, refine, and trade resources to earn L-IMC tokens on a seasonal basis. These tokens can be minted into the game's IMC tokens in future releases.
As a third-person real-time strategy game, Apollo can be a way more complex game than you think. In total, there are 3 zones that players can travel to, namely the Safe Zone (Tier 3), Combat Zone (Tier 2), and War Zone (Tier 1). Each of them has varying levels of risks and rewards. So players must choose their spots carefully.
For instance, mining in War Zone will land you the most resources. But in turn, you will face higher risks as there are many lurking fleets waiting to attack weaker troops in this region. Attacked fleets would lose their gathered resources and have to send their ships for repairs later.
What's more, each fleet's fuel is limited and there's no way to travel from one spot to another instantly. This will require players to plan ahead before taking any journey in the vast universe of Imperium Empires.
On the whole, players can try out many of Imperium Empires' core gameplay in Apollo. Given how complex the game can be, the team even published 3 game guides to explain the full mechanics of it. If you want to take a quick glimpse, here's what the Apollo gameplay looks like in the video below:
