SOL451 is now officially teaming up with Immutable, the onchain gaming platform known for its zkEVM support. The partnership was announced on Sunday, though details around the rollout are still under wraps. Based on similar game integrations in the past, it is likely that SOL451 will soon appear on Immutable Play and may launch leaderboard events after that.
The timing lines up with the game's current roadmap, which is now in Stage 3. The focus at this point is on building out core gameplay systems, finalizing the first NFT collection, and getting $RELIC integration ready for testing.
SOL451: A Shooter That Rewards Quick Thinking and Custom Builds
At its core, SOL451 is a fast-paced multiplayer FPS. But speed is just one part of what it asks from you. The game also rewards tactical timing, ability switches, and how well you can read a fight before it happens.
You enter each match by picking 1 of 3 factions. Each one comes with its own unique ability set. Every ability can be adjusted with 2 augments you select before the match. There are 6 augments per ability, and you can switch them mid-match. That means if an enemy team is overwhelming your setup, you can change things up right away instead of waiting for the next game.
This kind of flexibility isn't common in arena-style shooters. It pushes you to stay sharp and keep adjusting based on what your opponents are doing.
How Abilities Work in Combat
Abilities in SOL451 aren't just passive traits. They shape how each encounter plays out.
You might start with Prismatic Shield, which throws down a dome of protection, or go for Phase Shift to blink out of trouble. Active Camo lets you go invisible. That can be perfect for repositioning, flanking, or avoiding a losing fight.
You can also swap between factions during a match. That opens up even more ways to respond if someone on the other team starts running a loadout you're not ready for. Basically, the game is built around that kind of live adaptation.
Weapons That Match Your Playstyle
Alongside abilities, weapons bring their own layer of depth. There are 6 weapon types in total, and each one supports passive perks. You start by picking a weapon that matches how you like to fight, then you shape it further by attaching perks.
The Chimera is a reliable assault rifle. Hydra favors high fire rate and pressure. Leviathan is slow but heavy-hitting, built for long-range fights. Cerberus is a tight-spread shotgun that punishes players who get too close. Basilisk is a slow but powerful revolver, while Phoenix is a fast-switching sidearm that can finish off a fight.
Where things really open up is in the Perk system. SOL451 gives you more than 1,000 combos. These passive traits can add damage to shields, lower cooldowns, or interact directly with abilities. Some, like Problem Solver or Explosive Dividend, can completely shift how a weapon fits into your overall strategy.
Once you've found a combo that works, you can mint the weapon as your own and use it in ranked play.
Game Modes and Competitive Focus
The game splits its content into 2 groups: casual and competitive.
Casual modes include Team Deathmatch, Free For All, Capture the Flag, Domination, and Zero Hour. You can play all of these for free. Ranked Versus, Zero Hour Competitive, and tournaments sit on the competitive side and require NFTs to enter.
Ranked matches use an ELO system, so the more consistently you win, the stronger your opponents become. This keeps the ladder fair and makes every win count. With the Immutable partnership now in motion, leaderboard events may roll out soon, but nothing has been officially announced yet.
What $RELIC Does in the Game
$RELIC is the upcoming token that powers SOL451's in-game economy. It's what you earn through ranked matches and what you spend to mint weapons, enter events, or unlock premium rewards.
One of the bigger systems tied to $RELIC is Black Market Bounties. These are high-stakes NFT contracts that test more than just shooting skills. You might have to play a certain way, hold down key objectives, or survive under pressure. Completing a bounty can earn you exclusive items, cosmetics, and perks.
According to the team, everything you earn can be traded. Whether it's a unique perk, a faction skin, or a minted weapon, you're free to buy, sell, or hold it. That flexibility is built into the game's economy from the start.
Pre-Alpha and Early Player Feedback
SOL451 ran its first pre-alpha playtest earlier this year, from August 29 to September 8. The test was limited to one map, Holdout, and matchmaking wasn't available yet. Instead, players used the Discord to organize matches manually.
Even at that early stage, the community was able to test the core systems and share feedback directly with the devs. Those who joined the test were given a special title and emblem that will carry over into the main game.
That first test helped shape the current state of development, especially around balancing, ability interactions, and weapon behavior.
What Stage 3 Is Focused On
Right now, the game is coming into Stage 3 of its roadmap. This stage is focused on finishing game production, preparing the first wave of NFT release, and building support systems for crafting and trading.
The team is also testing how $RELIC fits across the game's broader economy. That includes how it will be used in crafting, minting, and the in-game marketplace.
After Stage 3, the roadmap moves into Stage 4 and 5, which cover internal systems testing, bounty system development, $RELIC testnet integration, and closed alpha testing. The roadmap then shifts toward $RELIC mainnet launch, the marketplace launch, QA, Season 1 production, and an open alpha release. For now, the devs are focused on completing Stage 3 before moving into the next set of milestones.
Wishlist Now on Epic Games Store
While there's no release date just yet, SOL451 is now available to wishlist on Epic Games. That puts it in front of a wider player base as more web3 shooters make their way onto major platforms.
Details on the next rollout are still under wraps, but the current focus is on development, economy systems, and getting ready for a broader launch.
