The 2H 2025 roadmap for Immortal Rising 2 has officially been published, giving the blockchain gaming community a new set of milestones to look forward to seeing come to life in the months ahead that will help deliver a more improved web3 gaming experience with community feedback in mind.

What’s New in Immortal Rising 2’s 2H 2025 Roadmap?

The new roadmap puts the focus on 4 key features: SSS-grade Symbols, Third SSS-Grade Equipment Set, Guild War, and the Skin System.

SSS-grade Symbols provide players with enhanced stats and unique traits that enable players to set up more varied strategies and create builds with wider tactical depth. These Symbols are actually already live since July 17, so you can already start creating better builds that are even more focused on dealing damage to enemies or enhancing some other key stat crucial to your tactics.

The next milestone the team wants to complete is the release of the Third SSS-Grade Equipment Set. This new set is currently in development and is set to introduce a whole new style of combat, one that brings a “new tempo and tactical approach” to gameplay. With this set, the devs are looking to shift away from the usual combat design found in existing equipment and instead focus on delivering an entirely new way to enjoy the web3 game’s strategic combat. More information is planned to be shared once the design has been finalized, but if you’re looking for a “meaningful new layer to how battles are fought,” then you may not want to miss out on this set.

If you’d like to team up with other players and work together to achieve certain goals while competing against other player-run groups, then you can definitely look forward to the Guild War system launching in the coming months. This will be a weekly feature in which guilds compete for territorial control. The battles will still be PvE-based however and done in solo fashion, but your victories will contribute to your guild’s quest to capture certain areas. Controlling territories is rewarded with points, so the more of the map your guild captures, the more points your side will earn. Points are used to rank in Monthly Guild Rankings, with the highest-ranked guilds set to receive various valuable rewards. It’s been revealed that among the prizes will be Starlight, “as recognition of their leadership and coordination.”

For fans of cosmetics that enable loads of ways to customize your character, you’ll be happy to hear that the Skin System is planned to launch during Q3 2025. This system will allow players to personalize characters in new ways and even boost progression as well. Specifically, there will be a large assortment of armor styles to choose from, with each set to have a “unique visual and lore-based design.”  Next to personalizing your character, these skins will even come with various passive bonuses. While the specifics of these bonuses were not revealed in the announcement, it is stated that the more skins you collect, “the stronger your character becomes,” so you will certainly want to get these cosmetics for more than just a new visual appearance.

“This system is being built with care to ensure that every skin feels meaningful. Whether you prefer a refined ceremonial look or a rugged battle-worn appearance, your Immortal will finally reflect your journey.”

Each of these features is said to be in development and planned to go live “in stages” throughout the third quarter of this year, so from now to the end of September.

The game’s Development Director, GM Dubu, thanked everyone for their support in the announcement, and also apologized on behalf of the team for not delivering on every update from the earlier roadmap in a timely manner.

“In early 2025, we shared an ambitious roadmap filled with new content goals. However, due to real-world development challenges and limited team resources, we weren’t able to deliver every update on time, and for that, we sincerely apologize.”

“But we’re not backing down,” says GM Dubu, as now that they have more experience and community feedback to work with, Q3 is being handled with a “more grounded approach”, one that is being led by “a clear resolve to deliver what we set out to do.”

Play and Earn in Immortal Rising 2

Immortal Rising 2 is a free to play idle RPG in which you battle your way through a dark fantasy 3D world while engaging against a wide range of monsters in diverse real-time combat and shaping your character through a massively in-depth skill tree that allows players to create a huge number of varied character builds. The game is powered by Immutable zkEVM and published by Planetarium Labs, who you may known as the team behind Nine Chronicles that teamed up with Bad Beans last year to develop this new blockchain-powered title. It's available for download on Android and iOS across the Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively.

In this web3 mobile game, players can play and earn the $IMT token, which launched earlier this year on Immutable zkEVM via QuickSwap while also going live on a number of centralized exchanges. $IMT is a governance token that can be exchanged to one of the game’s earnable currencies, Starlight.

To earn $IMT, players need to earn Starlight through gameplay. This game currency is earned as a ranking reward for Arena, Stage, and Scarecrow leaderboards, and you may also be able to earn more of it by completing a variety of daily and weekly quests. This means that you can be rewarded both for PvP and PvE gameplay by creating a strong character build while enjoying stylish action RPG gameplay. Increase your Starlight holdings by staking through the Star Vault system to earn even more Starlight, and thus in turn more of the game’s core governance token. Players who earn this currency can exchange it to $IMT tokens and vice versa using their linked Immutable Passport accounts. You can also use Starlight to get valuable items and convert it into Stardust, an in-game currency used to craft various items.
