Hash Rush is back with a new monthly development update, this time providing details on the progress made during the month of July while showing a teaser of a new version of the blockchain title.
During this past month, the developers have made a significant internal milestone for the MMORTS, revealing that they’ve managed to create the first playable non-public build of the game this year. As a result, this means that the team will now look to explain more about the game as well as all the changes they’ve made to in the days and weeks ahead.
To mark the occasion of developing the first playable internal build of this year, the studio has decided to give us a glimpse of what it looks like through the new teaser video that you can view below. In this video, you’ll see that the new version contains numerous changes, particularly in the theme and setting. The developers state that it’s now a darker world than what we’ve previously seen in 2022 and earlier, and that this change of tone is more in line with the original vision the team had for the game.
In terms of changes, pathfinding has been fixed, even when flying units are involved. In terms of changes to gameplay, the developers have been working on this version since January, and have taken into account feedback from the community given during 2022 playtests, making the most of these new changes community-driven. The team has noted that gameplay is now faster, has new modes, an improved Hero system, a permanent “Home Base,” a new combat system, achievements and seasonal prizes. More detailed information will be revealed ahead of the early access launch.
Speaking of the launch, the developers initially aimed for a July 2023 early access release, but decided to delay it to summer/early autumn because the game needs “a lot of polish.” Once this early access launch happens, players will be able to “cash out from the Trading Marketplace with your Vorto account balance in USD-C.”
