The developers of Step Hero, a play-to-earn multiverse, have kicked off Endless Mode Season 7 of Gunfire Hero on August 24.
Ending on September 9 at 00:00 UTC, players have a chance at earning a share of the prize pool consisting of 25000 $HERO and 50000 $STEP by making it to the top 100 on the leaderboard before the end of the season.
The game mode is a part of Gunfire Hero, the second title of the Step Hero multiverse. It’s a free-to-play 2D shooter where players progress through a variety of different maps featuring various different bosses in the Campaign mode while trying to survive as long as they can in the Endless mode and participating in weekly events. Players can earn the $STEP token which is used for summoning new Hero NFTs, opening Equipment chests, purchasing in-game items and more. The $HERO token is also needed for summoning NFTs but can also be used for purchasing NFTs on the official marketplace as well as for staking, which allows players to earn farming points every day that can be used to purchase a Hero NFT. A Hero NFT can be sent on Bounty Hunting, which is a form of NFT staking that rewards NFT stakers with the $STEP token.
At the time of writing, there are two NFT collections, one for Gunfire Hero, and the other for Step Hero Arena. Farming points is only available for the collection of the latter game at the time of writing. Step Hero Arena is a turn-based RPG featuring PvP battles with a fantasy setting, which is also undergoing Season 7 with a prize pool of 30k $HERO distributed among the top 20 players. The browser-based game runs on the BNB Chain and Polygon network, while Gunfire Hero is on Polygon and is playable on Android devices by registering an account and downloading the game from the official website.
