Guild of Guardians Mobile Game Officially Announced

Stepico Games and Immutable have officially announced their upcoming mobile Guild of Guardians. The action RPG taps into Immutable X for fast and free transactions. The developers will do a pre-sale before July, while an early version of Guild of Guardians is expected by the end of the year.

Thus far the Guild of Guardians mobile game has been making a new for itself through a referral campaign. This way they've already gained quite some traction, as more than 55 thousand gamers have pre-registered.

Guild of Guardians will tap into a play-to-earn business model, where those who play actively can sell their rewards to other players. Gamers will have full ownership over their in-game items, summons and characters. Gameplay is promising to be fast-paced and action oriented. Expect things like ranged attacks, melee and area-of-effect spells.

Aside from the solo dungeon crawling, Guild of Guardians will also offer players the opportunity to play together. Together with friends or guild members, players can battle legendary bosses for even greater rewards.

What is Immutable X?

Guild of Guardians uses Immutable X to provide users with free and fast transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. This particular technology is also known as zero knowledge roll-ups, or zk-rollups. Basically it creates an extra layer on top of the Ethereum blockchain that still holds on to the security and immutability Ethereum provides.

The Australian team of Immutable has created Immutable X as a solution for their trading card game Gods Unchained, but obviously the project became a lot bigger. In recent weeks we've seen many companies embracing their new technology, including Superfarm and Lucid Sight.

Technology like Immutable X is needed because the Ethereum blockchain is clogged. As a result gas fees are ridiculously high, which makes it impossible for gamers to play blockchain games properly. Unless, of course, they want to pay 20 dollars to claim a 3 dollar game item.
