The Guild of Guardians announced its global launch on May 15th, but ahead of the launch, it has become the top-traded gaming NFT collection across blockchains. The in-game hero collection on the platform has a trading volume of $125,000 from May 6th until May 13th. Also, its PFP avatars have hit over $3 million in trading volumes in 7 days and about $500,000 in the past 24 hours.
Furthermore, the floor price of the collection is currently $121, and $3.50 for the in-game NFT characters. Other NFT collections on Immutable have less sales volume; for example, Cross the Ages is the second most traded, with 10% less sales volume than Guil of Guardians.
Additionally, the GOG token has also seen a price increase. According to playtoearn.net the token price has been raised by 392% in the past 12 months and 36% in the past 30 days. The game is published on Immutable and Mineloader has co-developed it. It has been in its initial version for the past 14 months and has been under development. Notably, the game is the most high-profile to launch on Immutable’s zkEVM mainnet and has achieved more than 1 million pre-registrations.
The opening season will have ‘The Dread Is Here’ and will run from May 15th to June 26th. Players will have to build their squads to battle against The Dread and use strategies. The first leaderboard event of the game is called ‘Age of the Dread’ and it contains $1 million worth of GOG tokens.
In addition to that, the event will offer exclusive prizes like Founder NFTs and Ascendant Seals. These are some of the in-game resources that players require to mint Web2 assets and the prizes will keep increasing as new users join the competition.
The next season, Guardians Unite, will start on June 26th, with the primary focus being changes to social and cooperative gameplay. Besides, it will have features such as raids, crafting, and auctions. The game will be available on May 15th on Google Play and the Apple App Store for all.
