Graham’s Port has formed a partnership with Club dVIN to launch their first NFT wine collection.
The collection consists of 50 limited edition cases (2 x 75cl) of Graham’s 1970 Vintage Port and Graham’s 2020 Bicentenary Edition Vintage Port, now available as NFTs on the platform of their new partner who focus on collectible and wine-based experiences. Out of the 50, 44 were exclusively put up for sale through Graham’s 1980 Lodge in Vila Nova de Gaia on July 24th.
According to the announcement, each of the cases has their own NFT on the Club dVIN platform, and owning the digital tokenized version provides the owner not only with a guarantee of authenticity of the wine, but also various different benefits. The benefits include an allocation for a case part of the next classic Vintage Port’s release, as well as 6 free guided tours and tastings at the Graham’s Lodge, which the owner of the NFT can grant to whoever tastes the Vintage Ports with them, “once the bottles have been opened and the NFTs burned.” Each bottle comes with anti-counterfeit NFC tags that holders can use to access their NFT on the platform with their mobile device.
Out of the 44 cases sold though the Graham’s Lodge, 3 cases will give their owners another exclusive experience of a private day visit for 4 people to Graham’s principal estate, Quinta dos Malvedos, in the Douro Valley. Those who get this unique opportunity will get to spend their day with a guided tour of the winery and vineyards, alongside tutored tasting and lunch at the estate house. These 3 cases are priced at €3,000.
The announcement also reveals that 5 cases of 1970 and 2020 Vintage Port are set to drop on WineChain, a fine wine NFT platform, while the last case is set to be donated 2023 Golden Vines Online Auction.
