Get Your Dolos Passport for Life Beyond

Carving out a space for a civilization on a hostile alien planet is not an easy task. And what would a civilization be without some class distinctions? We already have varying levels of apartments. But on the world of Dolos, you will also want to make sure everyone knows that you are an official citizen. And for Life Beyond, you do so with a Dolos Passport. Not only is this a formal piece of identification, but it could also open up doors to events, airdrops, and planetary governance, that might otherwise be closed!

Pioneers in Life Beyond may want to consider picking up a Dolos Passport. Not only does it provide proof of citizenship, but it will also function as an access key to special rewards and exclusive events. With an open alpha coming up soon, Life Beyond joins several other blockchain games who are releasing early versions of their game to the public.

Dolos Passports Mint

But Dolos Passports aren't just minted out of thin air. Crafting one requires cannibalizing materials from AAKs, or Apartment Access Keys. Five of them in fact! The AAKs are burned when the passport is minted. Luckily, there were over a million Keys minted, so there are plenty up for sale. Interestingly enough, just purchasing a Passport outright on Open Sea is cheaper than buying and burning five Apartment Access Keys! I'm not sure why people are selling them so cheaply, but the market will find its balance point.

Minting is limited to one Passport per wallet. Minting occurs on the Polygon blockchain, so any gas fees will need to be paid with MATIC token, but will also be very minimal. Anyone already holding a AAK-X, or an AAK-BAYC, will receive a free airdrop of a Dolos Passport.

So what are these Passports good for? Lots of stuff, apparently! They won't tell us everything, but we did receive a list of some of the perks for Dolos Passport holders. This list includes open alpha access, bonus raffle tickets in a planned alpha reward program, a guaranteed spot for the Agent 0 Jacket NFT mint, and mysteriously, "access to a Dolos history-defining moment that will occur after the Open Alpha ends."

I would also expect these Passports to provide ongoing rewards in the form of whitelist spots for future sales, access to special events, and maybe even an airdrop or two.

What is Life Beyond?

Life Beyond is a sci-fi, multiplayer, adventure game with a third person perspective. Players take the role of Pioneers as they help tame a new planet called Dolos. Full of wild and dangerous creatures, Dolos offers players opportunities to carve out their own place in this new frontier. But it’s not just wild creatures on the planet. There are also mysterious ruins to explore. Are their secrets worth the potential danger?

The game promises land and store ownership with players opening up new regions to settle as the game progresses. The game also plans to develop a crafting system with customizable weapons and equipment. There really is no character development in Life Beyond. Instead, each character’s abilities and potential is decided by their tools and equipment and the player’s knowledge and skill. The game will feature a set of narrative story arcs, with each one unlocking new areas or gameplay on completion. Once players liberate a region from the nano-bots (alien tech that controls objects and creatures), the land opens up for sale and colonization by the players. Lands generate tokens and resources.

The game is still in early development. And like many MMOs, promises everything a player could want and more! But can they deliver on these promises? The upcoming open alpha should tell us a lot more about Early access for Key holders opens on June 29th, with an open alpha on July 6th.
