Everseed prepares to launch into open beta, offering free to play, play and earn opportunities for both mobile and desktop users! Set to launch on April 10th, this open beta will coincide with season 3, which should last for four weeks.
Everseed takes another step forward, bringing back their desktop version of this tower defense game, implementing cross-platform leaderboards, and launching into season three of their beta! And even better, season three is completely open to everyone and free to play!
The Everseed Open beta launches on April 10th. This will also mark the beginning of beta season 3, giving players a chance to take their shots at placing on top of the daily leaderboards, potentially earning a little Bitcoin along the way! Players can also earn Badges each season, which will later open up the ability to mint Companion NFTs.
When we last talked about Everseed they were just launching their play and earn beta with rewards paid out in Bitcoin. By all reports, that was a resounding success, with thousands of dollars worth of Bitcoin given away to players of the beta!
But other things have been happening in Everseed as well. One of the big announcements involves the Rangers NFTs. Everseed revealed that they plan a version 2.0 of these NFTs. Owners will be able burn their current Rangers for the new, improved versions -- which will apparently be on a blockchain that isn't Solana! In addition, these new Rangers will provide an in-game bonus at some point in the future. Holding Rangers will give players a chance to be presented with an additional, exclusive, 'Ranger Boon' in between waves of patrols.
As for the game's other NFTs, Sprouts will give holders infusions of the plant type, and Season Badges will provide owners with an opportunity to mint a Companion NFT associated with that Season.
In addition there have been a number of changes to gameplay. This includes new plants, new abilities, new companions, big fixes, stat tweaks, UI improvements, and more! They even have a partnership resulting in an Everseed preinstall on millions of JamboPhones!
Everseed is a world exploration game that sees players fighting against the Blight -- a horrible pestilence that is mutating creatures and causing great destruction to the world! Players will find encounters while wandering, leading to a tower defense style match where the player uses Battle Plants that they own as defense against creatures from the Blight!
Everseed offers a bit more strategy than most tower defense games. The creeps don’t have set paths they follow. Instead, they take the shortest route they can to your base. Players have a semi-open choice about where to place their Plants (towers). Though some terrain comes with limitations. Players must also clear Blight to reveal tiles. resulting in several layers of strategic planning during the placement phase. This more open building concept allows players to create their own, customized gauntlet of doom for the creep waves!
Players have limited Energy to spend each round. So choosing between placing new plants, revealing hidden terrain, and watering (leveling up plants) requires some thought and planning. Plants can also be leveled up as the round progresses, offering new abilities or stat boosts.
Players also choose a Companion to help them in battle. Unlike plants, Companions can move freely before the round starts. They also block creep pathing, and each have their own unique attack and special abilities.
