The team behind GensoKishi Online Meta World, an anime blockchain 3D MMORPG, has officially announced the pre-release of the first-ever landmark of the GENSO Metaverse: Hikone LAND.
Hikone LAND is the first landmark in the GENSO Metaverse, featuring elements and 3D models made by students from various Japanese schools. It’s inspired by the Edo period, containing the motif of Hikone’s castle town.
Some of the 3D models you can find when visiting this early version include Hikone Castle, castle walls, shopping streets, lotus flowers, ponds, 3 types of trees (maple, pine and plum), samurai residences, and Genkyu Rakuraku-en (also known as Genkyu-en Garden). All these models were made by students from these schools: Osaka Design Sogo, Japan Animation & Manga CollegeJAM, and Ota Information & Business College.
As this is a pre-release, the landmark is still in development, so expect to see various updates make their way to this area as time goes on. The announcement states that the GENSO team is working on giving the GENSO development kit to Hikone City “on a trial basis.” This will make it possible for the team to add NPCs, URLs, as well as place in dialogues. For the time being, the local characters of Hikone City include “Iinosuke” and “Hiko-nyan.”
In order to visit this land, according to the announcement, you should head to the Elrond Mall, where you can talk to an NPC named the ‘Hikone LAND Guide.’
