The team behind NFT card game Genesis Universe has announced that version 2.0 of their Web3 title, New Horizon, is launching this month in closed beta.

Closed Beta Details

The closed beta test will be available to certain users who end up on a waitlist, with an official waitlist announcement set to soon happen explaining how this will work. What is known however are the features you can expect to experience should you up end up gaining access to this first phase of the game’s new version.

Faction Wars & PvP Changes

During this test phase, participants will be able to enjoy a new guild battle feature called Faction Wars, which was revealed last month. Players will be able to work together to conquer territories, and the more territories you conquer, the higher your earnings could be. You’ll be able to climb a leaderboard, with the highest-ranked players in this phase set to earn NFTs and USDT rewards. The NFTs that will be awarded will range from 3 stars to 5 stars.

PvP battles now have added strategic depth, as instead of just thinking about card abilities, there will now be professions affecting tactics as well, making it more important to strategize selecting cards that work well together. If you end up in the top 50 by the end of the testing period, your efforts will be rewarded with NFTs and USDT, with specific reward distribution details currently unavailable at the time of writing.

The Adventure Realm

Players will be able to progress through a new PvE mode called the Adventure Realm. Unlock new worlds as you fight your way through new enemies and bosses throughout many stages to earn various rewards. It seems that this mode will have a leaderboard as well, with the top 50 here also eligible to earn USDT and NFT prizes.
