NFT card game Genesis Universe has received a new update geared towards providing a more balanced gameplay experience by making a couple of adjustments to PVP-related features.
What’s Changed?
The latest update includes changes to PVP matchmaking and the PVP leaderboard. With this latest version of the strategic title, players use a new auto-matching system representing an overhaul of the previous opponent-matching feature. This new system removes the option that previously allowed players to pick who they’d like to play against using a ranking list, leading to unbalanced matches as the system made it possible for players to match with opponents that had weaker teams. That is now a thing of the past, as the new system automatically pits you against an opponent that should be of equal strength, which should lead to more balanced matches.
Alongside this improvement in matchmaking, the update also introduces a streamlined PVP leaderboard that lowers the amount of PVP tier categories from 4 to 2, meaning that the 2 main rankings are now Beginner and Master. The PVP tier is now said to be based on your total combat power, players under 1000 total combat power belonging to the Beginner ranking.
Further streamlining gameplay is the removal of team-up requirements from the Master rank, meaning players can now just click on the “Team Up” button when their total combat power is above the one required for every rank.
Future Plans
Next to this balancing update, the official post also teases a couple of upcoming additions that are planned to be released this year. Some of them include new mini-games, a new map, new equipment design, Faction Wars and “NFT game card features.”
