Animoca-owned and Binance Labs-backed GAMEE has announced the release of Episode 4: NFT Communities for their flagship project on the TON blockchain, Wat Protocol, bringing a new way for users to earn points.
The 4th episode of what was previously known as the Phoenix Protocol rewards holders of partnered NFTs with WatPoints. NFT collections that are considered to be more valuable award a higher number of WatPoints. If you have an eligible NFT, you can simply connect your wallet to the official website and hold the asset in the connected wallet to start collecting WatPoints. On the website, you can see how many points does each NFT collection award. The lowest mining rate is for Arc8 Beasts at 24 WatPoints a day, while a Pudgy Penguins NFT gets you 100,872 WatPoints per day.
Participants can earn WatPoints by owning at least one NFT from one of the following NFT collections:
Thanks to an update on June 12th, if you happen to own a couple of NFTs from the same collection, you will now earn WatPoints for each NFT instead of being limited to 1 per community, allowing participants to earn more WatPoints than when the episode initially launched. According to the Medium post, the WatPoints you earn “contribute to your community’s collective effort,” encouraging participants to share news of this episode to others as the more holders there are participating, “the more WatPoints your community can collectively earn.”
The utility of WatPoints continues to remain a mystery for the time being, but since there is only one more episode to go, it may not be long before find out how these points can actually be used on TON. If you want to collect as many WatPoints as you can before utility is revealed, then you may want to check out previously-released episodes from which you can still earn points. Each episode brings its own way to earn WatPoints. The first episode introduced $GMEE soft staking, while Episode 2 made it possible to mine WatPoints through a Telegram mini-game, and Episode 3 introduced hard staking of the $GMEE token as another way to earn WatPoints.
