Galactic Hubs is preparing to make an impact, in the world with its latest endeavor. The Alien Worlds API Track, sponsored by Galactic Hubs will be the highlight of the Interplanetary Unconference Hackathon. This event promises an experience that combines technical expertise and innovative thinking.
While the Alien Worlds API Track primarily caters to tech individuals it doesn't exclude technical enthusiasts. A planned General Track has been designed specifically for builders who are not necessarily tech-focused. This track delves into thought-provoking discussions about the dynamics of the Metaverse and the ways one can engage with it. More than a platform for discussion the General Track serves as a hub that promotes understanding of blockchain technology and provides a seamless onboarding experience for Alien Worlds. Its main purpose is to foster connections, within the community empower participants and emphasize community-driven innovation, open source development and scalable solutions.
Regarding event details, the Hackathon is organized by the Interplanetary Unconference. The Alien Worlds APIs are the focus of the event, which is scheduled to take place over two days from October 20th to October 21st, 2023. Positively, Galactic Hubs, the sponsor has allocated up, to 1,000,000 Trilium for this event. Also, the reward distribution strategy sets aside 30% for groundbreaking ideas and 70% for the builders.
Moving along, the objectives of the Hackathon and API track are diverse. To begin, the primary mission is to uplift our community and Unconference. The team aims to highlight API resources and encourage their usage driven by our community. Furthermore, the P2E seek to identify and reward developers while providing grant support to those making impactful contributions.
Participants can expect a roadmap ahead of them. Given that, Galactic Hubs encourages them to explore ways in which they can enhance existing APIs functionality integrate extensibility features into Alien Worlds smart contracts and brainstorm strategies that will benefit the Alien Worlds ecosystem.
To ensure engagement from participants Galactic Hubs have structured the Hackathon accordingly. On the day of the event, Dallas, the Head Engineer, at Alien Worlds will kick off with a session introducing participants to the potential of APIs. Following these remarks there will be a sequence of presentations where participants will have the option to present live or choose recorded showcases. The second day is dedicated to the presentations and project submissions.
Alien Worlds has simplified the process of submitting projects by offering a Google submission form specifically designed for the API track. All project-related materials, such, as the project's name, WAX address, presentation and recording should be submitted through this form.
Once the Hackathon concludes the judges will allocate up to 10 working days for an evaluation of all submissions. The main focus will be on evaluating the project's quality and its alignment, with Alien Worlds metaverse. Finally, the Trilium rewards will be distributed based on both the excellence and potential impact of ideas and submissions.
