Forgotten Runiverse, the long-anticipated web3 massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG), is officially entering global early access on March 26 at 10:00 a.m. ET. Developed over three years and shaped by continuous feedback from its community, the game offers players an expansive online world rooted in lore, exploration, and blockchain-powered features.
With its early access launch, developers are inviting players to participate in building the future of the game while experiencing its first full-scale release.
The early access release will feature a robust in-game economy powered by Quanta, a currency used to mint items, build structures, and access exclusive content. An airdrop will distribute 21 trillion Quanta.
Players who previously purchased or earned Mana can claim their share by May 7. Those who miss out will have additional chances to earn Quanta through gameplay, including completing quests and participating in events. Quanta can be saved for future rewards or spent on land upgrades, item crafting, and participation in partner token events.
One of the standout features of Forgotten Runiverse is its player-owned land system. Players who own plots can build structures that support resource gathering, crafting, and fast travel. Structures available at launch include customizable player housing, gathering stations, mage workshops, forges, and more.
These structures contribute directly to gameplay progression and add a social layer through collaborative spaces. The developers also plan to introduce additional structures in future updates, including guild halls and arenas.
The “Moonlit Wilds” update will open several distinct regions for exploration, including Hedge Wizard Encampment, Southern Thicket, and Moon Temple Region. As players travel through these zones, they will uncover quests, meet NPCs, and battle creatures in a world affected by a mysterious force known as the Quantum Shadow. Players will also have access to 32 spells and four magical specializations, with plans to expand these options over time.
The game’s early access version features 22 quests and five dungeons. The main storyline runs through three interconnected dungeons, with rewards tied to completion. The Omen System introduces additional difficulty for veteran players seeking greater challenges and better loot.
The early access launch also kicks off some reward systems, including daily log-in bonuses, limited-time crafting opportunities, and chances to mint rare in-game items. The Font of Memory mechanic allows players to roll for exclusive items, cosmetic sets, and land plots. Players can also win Homesteads and Villages by completing specific challenges.
Scalebound Chests, another reward from previous events, can now be exchanged for land if they meet transfer eligibility. Eligible players must send their chests to a designated wallet address before the May 7 deadline to receive a Homestead.
Developers also teased upcoming “partner token events,” which will allow players to use earned Quanta to unlock tokens from other web3 projects. Details about the first event will be released in the coming weeks.
The development team describes early access as a foundational phase. By opening the game to the public now, they aim to gather feedback, balance systems, and build new content in collaboration with the community. The game will remain free during and after early access, with no requirement for wallet connection.
Developers expect early access to continue for an extended period, citing the complexity of building a large-scale MMO with evolving systems and content. Future updates will expand the map, introduce new dungeons and regions, increase level caps, and add features like open-world PvP and large-scale raids.
From the outset of global early access, players will be invited to help shape the future of the game through Discord discussions, surveys, livestreams, and roundtable sessions. Developers emphasized that community feedback has always been central to the Runiverse’s design and that this next phase will deepen that collaboration.
Forgotten Runiverse represents one of the most ambitious attempts yet at integrating player ownership, token economies, and large-scale storytelling into a cohesive web3 gaming experience. With its early access launch on March 26, the next chapter begins.
