Forbes Launches Metaverse Experience in The Sandbox

Forbes has announced the launch of their very own metaverse experience with the permanent purchase of a 1x1 LAND NFT in The Sandbox.

With this launch, the popular business magazine is strengthening its belief in the “transformative potential of the metaverse,” according to their official announcement. The experience was created in partnership with creative development studio Polygonal Mind and is designed to act as a community hub in which “thinkers, leaders, and innovators” can interact and collaborate by engaging in a non-traditional way that includes a series of varied workshops, events, and interactive experiences. The announcement claims that these initiatives are created in such a way so as to bring people from a diverse range of industries into one place in which they can form “meaningful conversations and networking opportunities in a vibrant, immersive environment.” The voxel-based space consists of the Forbes Highlander Yacht, a fancy bar and pool, as well as a gallery made in celebration of the 2024 Under 30 recipients.

The Chief Growth Officer of Forbes, Taha Ahmed, said the following in the official announcement:

“Our venture into The Sandbox metaverse is a testament to Forbes' commitment to embracing the forefront of technological innovation. By establishing a permanent presence in this digital realm, we are opening up new avenues for our community to connect, learn, and grow together in ways that were previously unimaginable.”

Next to being a luxurious place to hang out in, the new experience is also an educative home featuring missions in which visitors can learn more about Malcolm Forbes.
