Mythical Games has officially launched the adidas Radiant Blaze Season in FIFA Rivals on July 17, giving gamers an opportunity to win on-chain themed rewards.
What Is FIFA Rivals?
FIFA Rivals is an officially licensed football game featuring arcade-style gameplay to enjoy for free on Android and iOS. Collect upgradable exclusive digital player cards and build a powerful squad as you set up your tactical formation and utilize various offensive and defensive strategies. Turn the match in your favor by activating Super Mode to use game-changing abilities in fast-paced football action that is made accessible with casual-friendly, portrait-based mobile controls. Test your skills against other players by participating in live events and league tournaments while climbing global leaderboards and winning NFT prizes.
This Polkadot-powered free to play mobile game is made by Mythical Games, the well-known blockchain game developer that already has experience in making licensed arcade sports games, having launched NFL Rivals about 3 years ago. FIFA Rivals released on June 12, 2025 in partnership with adidas on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and we now have a new branded season in our hands to enjoy for free while earning iconic gear in the process.
What’s New in adidas Radiant Blaze Season?
The adidas Radiant Blaze Season delivers a themed in-game experience that integrates the brand’s gear into the web3 title, and anyone can earn the new goodies by competing in limited-time gameplay events.
Throughout this season, players have a chance to earn the Radiant Blaze Copa, Predator, and F50 boots, as well as a total of 14 retro and game-exclusive adidas kits. A collection of themed balls is also up for grabs, and so are fresh players wearing the Three Stripes.
If you want to earn these prizes, you will want to participate in a variety of rotating in-game challenges that run throughout the season. These challenges vary from challenging your gameplay skills to encouraging you to collect certain assets.
For this season, you can also earn even more rewards by joining adidas’ global membership program, adiClub. You can join for free and begin accumulating adiClub points to redeem exclusive game rewards, including the in-game Radiant Blaze boots and adidas balls.
How to Earn adidas Season Gear
There are a number of different ways to earn this season’s themed gear. The simplest one is to sign up for adiClub to earn redeemable points, but the main path towards most if not all of the exclusive prizes is to complete a variety of in-game challenges that run during this season. Alternatively, you can also head to the game’s NFT marketplace and buy the tradable collectibles from other players.
Version 1.1.4 Update Details
With the launch of the new season also comes the release of a major update, bringing the game to version 1.1.4.
The key features introduced with this big new update include the Season Pass Extender, Seasonal Contract Freeze, Bot Mode, and the ability to upgrade Mythicals to level 5 (5 stars) using Fragments.
The Season Pass Extender is a new feature that allows you to continue earning Season Pass rewards even after completing the final tier of the pass. This means that every time a new XP milestone is reached, you will be able to win a new set of randomized rewards, enabling players to endlessly earn rewards even after fully completing all Season Pass tiers.
The Seasonal Contract Freeze is a new rule that freezes the Contract Points (CP) of all Seasonal Players in the season that they release in. This means that whichever player you unlock during this season, you will be able to continuously use them in gameplay without using up any CP at all. This applies to all rarities, so as long as you’ve earned the player in the season you’re using them, you don’t have to worry about running out of Contract Points. This rule has been added in response to community feedback that raised concerns around Commons and Contract Point drain. With this key change, the path to earning seasonal rewards becomes more accessible than before.
Bot Mode is a new game mode that lets you practice against AI bots in friendly matches to help you warm up, sharpen your skills and test new tactics before jumping into competitive matches. This means that bot matches are not taken into account for win streaks, events, and Standard Leaderboards, but they do count for League Leaderboards, albeit with a lower MMR increase. Bot matches also award fewer Season XP in comparison to actual PvP matches. Each bot squad actually comes with their own team name, kit design and emblem in order to keep matches “immersive even while you train.”
Another community-requested addition is the ability to upgrade Mythicals to level 5. The team has listened, so you can now fully upgrade your Mythical players with different types of fragments. There are 5 types of fragment NFTs, and each contribute a different amount of XP. This means that you don’t need to have a certain number of a specific type of fragment, but just need to make sure you have enough to bring the XP up to level 5. What does matter however is that the fragment in question belongs to the player card you want to level up.
There are 5 fragment types: Vision Fragment (25 XP), Heart Fragment (50 XP), Form Fragment (150 XP), Mind Fragment (500 XP), and Soul Fragment (600 XP). The amount of XP needed per Mythical Level is as follows:
- Level 1 → 100 XP
- Level 2 → 200 XP
- Level 3 → 350 XP
- Level 4 → 600 XP
- Level 5 → 1,000 XP
- Total = 2,250 XP
Alongside all these welcome additions, the developers have also made a number of first-time user experience improvements and a couple of other enhancements for a more polished web3 gaming experience. One of them includes changing the introductory flow so that once you complete your first 2 matches, you have to play 3 more against bots in order to unlock PvP. Bot matches will have new visual cues that show up if you take too long to do something in order to help you get to grips with the game’s gameplay mechanics. Loading times have been reduced by around 33% and opponent intro animations can now be seen at the start of the match. Check out the official update post on X for the full patch notes.

How to Play to Earn in FIFA Rivals
Anyone can play to earn NFTs in FIFA Rivals for free without needing to own a crypto wallet or know anything about blockchain technology. These on-chain assets include licensed player cards, player fragments, and a variety of gear such as unique emblems, kits, boots, balls, and more.
As you play and win matches, you have a chance of earning various types of player packs, with rarer packs featuring a better chance of dropping a valuable player card. Player cards can be minted into tradable NFTs once you have fully upgraded them. For example, if you have a Common card of Trent Alexander-Arnold with 0 stars, you’ll need to level him up to 5 stars to be able to mint him into a tradable collectible. To level him up, you will need to earn duplicate cards and have enough in-game currency to burn the duplicates and upgrade the player card that you want. In-game currencies can be earned through player packs as well but also bought as in-app purchases and gained via daily login rewards and Season Pass tiers, including the Free, Premium, and Mythical tiers, with the latter tier available for purchase in limited supply. Progressing your way through Season Pass tiers is also rewarded with player packs, seasonal currency, random cards of varying rarity, and various gear. Earn Season XP by winning matches.
Once you have a 5-star player card, you then need to have a certain amount of Vouchers, which you can buy using the premium Gems currency but also potentially by completing in-game quests. Gems can be earned for free by opening player packs. With enough Vouchers ready, you can then mint and transform the 5-star player into an NFT.
To trade your assets, you will need to link your game profile with your Mythical account. Inside the game, tap on the drop-down menu in the top right corner of the screen and go to Settings, where you will find an option to link your account. If you don’t have a Mythical account, you can create one through this process too using an email address. Once created, head on over to the Mythical Marketplace and login with your Mythical account so you can find your tradable assets in the Inventory section. Click on the NFT you’d like to list for sale in your inventory and set a price in $MYTH tokens. Gas fees are temporarily covered by the NFT marketplace, so you can put your assets up for sale for free.
If you want to win tradable licensed NFTs representing your favorite football superstars while enjoying fun sports action, then you can get started by downloading the game for free on your Android or iOS mobile device. You won’t need to connect any crypto wallet, as that is automatically created for you, with the game awarding you a couple of player cards to help you kickstart your squad-building journey. It's important to note that the 11 new players awarded throughout the initial tutorial phase cannot be minted as NFTs, even if fully upgraded. They are essentially starter cards to help you begin playing and earning actual mintable player cards for free.
