Faraway, a blockchain gaming studio known for Mini Royale: Nations, Serum City and the in-development Dookey Dash: Unclogged, have announced the launch of their very own crypto wallet.
The Faraway Wallet is a non-custodial account wallet solution designed to help Web2 gamers easily jump into the developer's blockchain gaming ecosystem. By having a Faraway account, users can easily set up a secure wallet with only an email address, meaning there is no need to install any mobile app or browser extension to use the new wallet. Users don’t have to worry about any seed phrases, and in fact, don’t need to interact with crypto either if they don’t want to, making it simple to jump into the developer’s Web3 gaming ecosystem.
All Faraway Platform partners are now able to integrate the wallet into their games to make it easier for non-crypto gamers to jump in, and all games using Faraway accounts to log in should now have the wallet included as well.
The wallet can be accessed from any device, as all you need to gain access to it is the email address that you use for your account.
To create a wallet, simply login to your Faraway account on the game’s official shop page or creator page, click on the circle in the top right corner, and then your username in order to see the Add Wallet button. From there you can easily create the new wallet by confirming the email address that will be linked to it.
When it comes to supported blockchains, the wallet works on the same chains already present in the ecosystem, and those include Ethereum, Polygon and Solana. This means that their native token, ETH, MATIC and SOL are supported, alongside USDC (Ethereum, Polygon and Solana) and ApeCoin (Ethereum and Polygon). This means that you should avoid trying to send any token not supported by the wallet, as you won’t be able to withdraw them.
When it comes to NFTs, the wallet specifically supports NFT collections from the Faraway ecosystem, which include gaming collections, all UGS items, external collections used for claiming passes and so on, according to the official FAQ page. If you send NFTs not supported by the wallet, you won’t be able to get them back.
Tokens and NFTs stored in the wallet can be withdrawn to any address in the supported chains.
