After announcing a huge new league update for Season 5, the developers of Fantasy Top have teamed up with the studio behind Parallel TCG to make this new season packed with $100k+ in rewards from the sci-fi card game's new Deception expansion set.

What’s New in Fantasy Top Season 5?

Season 5 of Fantasy Top introduces 6 new Heroes, a new league and rewards structure, a new Burn Wars Leaderboard, and Parallel TCG-powered prizes. It’s also been revealed that for the rest of 2025, all revenue generated by the game will go directly back to Heroes and competition rewards, helping deliver an even more rewarding blockchain gaming experience.

The 6 new Heroes introduced this time around include the following X accounts:

  • dounbug (@d0unbug)
  • Jampzey.hl (@Jampzey)
  • Agent Chud (@AgentChud)
  • Adam Hollander (@HollanderAdam)
  • GRITCULT (@GRITCULT)
  • fapital (@Fapital3)

You have a chance of acquiring these new Heroes in any pack. A dedicated set of 300 Season Packs for these Heroes was put up for sale under a VRDGA-controlled auction system where the price per pack goes up or down based on demand. Each of the 300 Season 5 Hero Packs contained 1 single new card of any rarity and pricing started at 200 Fragments, but all of them have been sold out by now.

This special season features over $100k worth of $PRIME rewards from the Parallel ecosystem. Card packs from Parallel’s upcoming Deception expansion set are being given away this season in the form of tournament prizes, Hero incentives, “and a brand new gameplay,” teases the official X announcement thread. A total of 250 Deception packs have been allocated for S5 events, with the season’s first tournament awarding one pack to the top 10 participants in each of the top 5 leagues.

Speaking of leagues, this season introduces the previously announced league update, which adds in the Platinum League between Gold and Diamond leagues, with Diamond being the new name for the highest-level competitive ladder previously known as the Elite League. The rewards structure has been adjusted as a result to consist of a more “top-heavy rewards system” where +6 ETH is added every season, while 100k Fragments are added to the Burn Wars leaderboard in each season. When the league update was announced, the community was told to look forward to new game modes and more sponsored rewards from “leading projects and protocols,” and after launching the ZED Champions $10k tournament last month, the team is already showing that they are living up to this promise and are continuing to bring more partnered prizes for players to earn.

Here’s a quick recap of the new league update:

  • New league added: Platinum League
  • ETH rewards: +5%
  • FAN points: +9%
  • Fragments emissions: -10%
  • ITM ranks rebalanced across leagues (~50% FAN, ~30% Fragments, ~10% ETH)
  • Reduced star caps
  • Higher leagues feature top-heavy rewards
  • Elite League renamed to “Diamond League”
  • Bronze League rewards buff
  • Reverse League ETH removed (the league itself remains open for “easier experimental gameplay opportunities”)

“Plan your decks and prepare for a new meta where smart deck building matters more than ever.”

The new Burn Wars Leaderboard is live with 100k Fragments up for grabs for the top 200 burners throughout this competitive period. This seasonal burning leaderboard ranks players by points earned from burning cards and leveling up. Burning cards of higher rarity gives you better multipliers. You can burn 1 card to purchase Fragments, 2 cards for the Burn to Draw feature, and 5 cards to level up. Stack up as many points as you can by burning cards through these mechanics for a chance at ranking high enough to earn from this season’s Fragments prize pool.

If you however want to earn prizes such as ETH, $PRIME, and Deception packs from Parallel TCG’s 3rd expansion, then here’s what you need to know about Fantasy Top to start to play and earn in Season 5 and onwards.

How to Play and Earn in Fantasy Top

In Fantasy Top, the core gameplay loop revolves around building a deck of five cards, each representing a well-known crypto influencer from X. With this lineup, players enter seasonal leagues that refresh weekly, each with its own prize pool and set of rules. Some leagues enforce restrictions, such as limiting the number of Epic rarity cards or requiring decks to meet certain Star thresholds. Stars represent card strength and are recalculated weekly, ensuring that deck composition always matters.

Season 5, launched in collaboration with Parallel TCG, expands league play with 6 competitive tiers. Each league offers rewards distributed across leaderboards, including ETH, FAN points, and Fragments. Beginning this season, ETH is no longer part of the prize pool in the entry-level Reverse League. FAN points act as the governance currency, letting players vote on Hero rotations and other decisions, while Fragments function as the premium resource used to purchase card packs. Players can also acquire Fragments directly with ETH on Base.

Performance in Fantasy Top is directly linked to influencer activity on X. A card’s weekly score reflects the engagement, reach, and crypto-related content of its corresponding account, with higher rarities providing score multipliers. Much like fantasy football, success comes from strategically betting on which influencers will be most active and impactful, then climbing the leaderboards for a share of rewards.

For newcomers, there is also a free to play edition. This version lets players build a deck of non-NFT Heroes, complete weekly quests, spin wheels for additional cards, and participate in fast-paced 24-hour tournaments. Chests earned in free to play mode contain XP and new cards, and accumulating XP unlocks access to higher leagues with better prizes.

Fantasy Top can be played on PC and mobile browsers through its official website. Following its migration to the Base network in July, the game has continued expanding its collaborations and competitive events. These included a $15k ZED Champions crossover in August, followed by this Parallel-powered launch of Season 5. If you enjoy fantasy card games such as Sorare and Football.Fun, then this influencer-themed title might be well worth trying out.
