Fableborne has locked in the start of the competitive race in Season 5, with the fight for POWER beginning on Monday, August 17, 2026 at 10:00 UTC. Developer Pixion Games confirmed the timing through its official channel on August 13.

The POWER race is the part of a Fableborne season where placement converts into token rewards. Season 5 content itself went live on August 12, giving players a window to settle into the new systems before the competitive clock starts.

How the POWER Pool Fills

The reward pool is not a fixed figure announced up front. Up to 70 percent of webshop revenue flows into the POWER pool, with Power Chests excluded from that calculation, which means the total climbs throughout a season as players spend rather than being capped at launch.

Season 4 gives a reference point for the scale. The previous guild season, which ran from December 8 to 24, accumulated 1.66 million POWER by the time it closed.

Competition runs across two separate leaderboards, one for solo players and one for guilds, so an individual grinding alone and a coordinated 50 player guild are not fighting for the same placements. Guilds cap at 50 members, with registration handled through the official guild page.

The scoring chain has more steps than a simple points ladder. Players earn Guild Valor through events, spend that Valor on GG Chests, and receive randomised Guild Glory in return, and Glory is the currency that actually determines ranking. Individual payouts scale with the personal Glory a player earns, while guild members also receive rewards based on where their guild places overall. Guild leaders take a share of member earnings, which builds a reason to recruit and organise rather than simply play more.

What Landed With Season 5

The season brought a set of systems changes alongside the competitive structure. An equipment system was added, built around Glyphs as an upgrade resource across four types, feeding stats including Health Regen, Movement Speed, Added Damage, Critical Damage, and Damage Reduction.

Workers were reworked and now carry health bars that affect their output, turning base management into something that can be damaged and degraded rather than a static resource generator. Two new units arrived: the Guard, a tanky melee option, and the Blob, which splits when defeated and forces attackers to deal with the pieces.

A new campaign shipped with the update, and pre raid planning was enhanced, giving players more control over how they approach an assault before committing to it.

Inside Fableborne

Fableborne is a free to play action RPG and adventure title built on Ronin, developed by London based Pixion Games. It runs on iOS and Android, and the core loop splits between building a kingdom and tearing down someone else's.

On defence, players customise their kingdom by placing defensive units across rooms, with a Throne Room at the end holding a player selected Imperial Boss as the final guardian. On offence, players run real time PvP raids against other kingdoms, fighting through room defences to reach the Throne Room and loot resources on the way to climbing the leaderboard.

Three heroes are currently playable. Glint is a tanky Paladin with lightning attacks, Rift is a ranged mage working through elemental spells, and Shade is a stealthy rogue with dual crossbows. More heroes are in development.

The web3 layer runs through two NFT collections and one token. Primordials grant Primordial Essence airdrops and early access to playtests, while Kingdom NFTs represent player owned lands that can be upgraded and merged. POWER is the token, used for event participation, item crafting, and cross game rewards across Pixion's ecosystem.

Eligibility for POWER is determined through Fableborne Essence, which comes in four tiers with a fixed priority order of Primordial, Gold, Silver, then Bronze. Primordial Essence comes from holding Primordial NFTs, distributed in proportion to holdings through unpredictable airdrops. Gold Essence rewards competitive play, with the top 10,000 players per live event eligible. Silver Essence was awarded for web boss battles and was limited to Season 1. Bronze Essence comes from social quests, covering the top 100,000 on the Bronze leaderboard, with multipliers of up to 15x available through NFT holdings. Bot and multi account filtering runs before eligibility is calculated.

The game has grown a substantial base. Fableborne has passed 380,000 total players with a peak of 108,000 concurrent, and Pixion Games has raised 12.4 million USD in total funding, including 3 million USD from Bitkraft in March. The project migrated from Avalanche to Ronin in Season 3.

Fableborne currently sits at rank number 20 on PlayToEarn with a score of 1,133.
