If you ever wanted to play the browser-based FPS on the go, well now you can, as the developers of ev.io have now released the mobile version of the Solana-based title in beta.
Described by the devs as being a “1.0” beta test, players can now hop onto their favorite mobile browser in landscape mode and head to the official website to start playing.
As this is their first release for Android and iOS devices, some issues are likely to crop up, with a couple already known, such as a bug that causes the page to sometimes reload when tapping on a button.
This mobile version currently does not have all the features of the PC one, though more will eventually get added as the team gathers feedback and irons out existing problems. For now, the game modes that players can enjoy are Deathmatch and Team Deathmatch, with the game randomly putting you into a match of one of those 2 modes upon loading the page.
In other news, the team has also recently added winter maps, such as the one visible at the top of this article. Here’s another image shared by the devs on their official Discord server:
Ev.io is available as a free-to-play title, and features FPS gameplay inspired by the well-known Halo, Quake and Destiny franchises. Players can triple jump, teleport and use various different grenades as they use a variety of different weapons that spawn throughout the maps. Those who’d like to earn $SOL in this play-to-earn arena shooter will have to own a weapon or character NFT skin, which are available on the Fractal NFT marketplace.
