Engines of Fury (EoF), a blockchain-based PvPvE extraction shooter, is set to launch publicly today on the Epic Games Store. The game goes live at 1 PM UTC, and with it begins a month-long in-game reward campaign featuring a prize pool of up to 1,000,000 $FURY.
The release also marks the start of the ALLOY-to-FURY exchange system. Players will get to trade ALLOY for $FURY at a starting rate of 1:1.

Real Combat, Real Risk, Real Rewards
Engines of Fury takes place on a post-apocalyptic Earth. Players enter hostile zones, fight off both mutated monsters and other survivors, collect loot, and try to extract without dying. If they succeed, they return to their hideout with new gear and materials. If they die, they lose their full inventory and a few equipped items, which then become lootable by anyone left on the map.
Each match is a PvPvE raid. Players drop into large maps starting far apart, but the odds of running into each other increase over time. Every player enters with a goal: to scavenge loot and make it out alive. But with danger around every corner, even experienced raiders face risk every step of the way.
Combat plays out in real time from a top-down view. Visibility is limited, and players rely on mini-map pings and sound cues to understand what's happening off-screen. Quick reactions and the right gear are critical for surviving fights.
1,000,000 $FURY Reward Pool Live
As part of its first month, Engines of Fury is launching with up to 1,000,000 $FURY in in-game rewards. These will be distributed to players who earn and convert ALLOY, collect SHARD NFTs, craft Lockboxes, or win fights against others. With the ALLOY to FURY exchange rate starting at 1:1, early players can get in while the rate is most favorable.
There are multiple ways to earn rewards during live raids:
- Kill other players and take their $ALLOY
- Open Council Caches, which may contain $ALLOY or SHARD NFTs
- Use SHARD NFTs to craft Faction Lockboxes, which hold between 100 and 10,000 $ALLOY
Once players gather enough ALLOY, they can spend it in-game or trade it at their hideout for $FURY, giving them more options to progress faster and unlock new features.
ALLOY and FURY: The Game's Two-Token Economy
Engines of Fury runs on a dual in-game economy built around 2 tokens: ALLOY and FURY. These drive all upgrades, progression, and resource flow in the game.
What is ALLOY?
ALLOY is the main in-game asset earned through playing. Players collect it by opening caches, crafting, or looting defeated opponents. It's a soft currency and doesn't exist outside the game.
ALLOY is used to:
- Buy items like fuel or trader coins
- Purchase cosmetics or consumables
- Trade for $FURY inside the game at the Trading Station
It is the main reward for those actively raiding and surviving the wasteland.
What is $FURY?
$FURY is the game's onchain token. It can be earned by exchanging ALLOY in the hideout or by acquiring it outside the game from third-party holders or exchanges. The game itself doesn't sell $FURY directly.
In EoF, $FURY is used for:
- Unlocking utility NFTs
- Gaining access to premium crafting options
- Buying advanced consumables or hideout upgrades
- Converting some in-game items into onchain digital assets (in future updates)
The FURY token has a capped max supply of 120 million. The ALLOY to FURY exchange rate starts at 1:1 and resets monthly as part of the in-game economic cycle.
How Matches Work: Scavenge and Survive
Each session drops multiple players into the same map. The goal is simple: get in, grab loot, and extract before you're killed. Loot includes scrap materials, weapons, armor, or rare crafting items. Players collect loot from the ground, inside caches, or by defeating enemies.
To collect loot, players must hold the action key for a few seconds, leaving them exposed. Taking damage cancels the interaction, so it's usually safer to clear the area first. Some loot, like Council Caches, opens into a loot window, and players can't fight back while it's open.
If a player dies, all their gear and inventory (plus 2–3 equipped items) drop as a backpack. These can be picked up by anyone still alive, giving strong incentives for ambushes and risk-taking.
Crafting, Healing, and Preparing for the Next Raid
After extraction, you'll need to return to your hideout where you can craft items and prepare for the next raid. Crafting requires scrap materials and time, though upgrading crafting modules reduces wait time.
Healing is limited. There is no passive regeneration, and no auto-heal between fights. Healing packs must be crafted in the hideout and consumed during raids. Players are frozen while healing, and packs often apply side effects like lower accuracy or reduced movement speed. This makes healing a tactical choice rather than a safe recovery.
Weapons also require ammo, which must be crafted ahead of time. Ammo types are tied to specific weapons, and without it, weapons won't fire. Reloading takes time during which firing is disabled.
Monthly Reset, Sporefall, and the Meta-Game
Engines of Fury also runs on a monthly cycle. At the end of each month, the entire in-game world is wiped clean by a recurring event called The Sporefall. Progress is reset, and all non-tokenized gear is destroyed. What remains is what players truly own: $FURY, SHARD NFTs, Faction Lockboxes, Cores, and Initiate Passes.
This reset system clears out power creep and forces the game world to evolve. Each new month, the meta may change. Enemies can behave differently, gear may be rebalanced, and new challenges can be added. Players can't rely on the same strategies to survive.
Leaderboards also reset monthly. Every in-game action, such as raids, crafting, upgrades, extractions, feeds into the leaderboard. Top players at the end of each week and cycle gain recognition and possibly more rewards.
Faction Shards, Lockboxes, and Core NFTs
Faction Shards are a rare drop inside raids. They can be traded with other players or used to craft Faction Lockboxes. These boxes contain large amounts of ALLOY, but can only be opened using a powered Engine module equipped with a Core NFT.
Cores are part of the meta-game's long-term loop. Players who manage to secure Shards and power up their Engine can generate large ALLOY rewards and trade that into more $FURY, fueling even more upgrades.
This full loop, from scavenging to crafting, trading, and converting, forms the game's core economy. It supports different playstyles, from PvE-focused looters to PvP hunters and resource traders.
Scheduled to Go Live on Epic Games Store
Engines of Fury will go live on the Epic Games Store at 1 PM UTC today. The launch introduces the first-ever public version of the game and opens up the month-long $FURY reward pool.
Early players will benefit from the 1:1 ALLOY-to-FURY exchange rate and the full reset economy designed to level the playing field for all. The public launch will mark the start of both the core gameplay loop and the competitive leaderboard season.
