Proof of Play, the web3 developer of Arbitrum-powered RPG Pirate Nation, has officially introduced a new PvE game mode to the fully on-chain title: Infinite Tides.

What Is Infinite Tides in Pirate Nation?

Infinite Tides is a new PvE game mode in Pirate Nation that has players undertake a roguelite-inspired battle experience by fighting waves of enemies to earn various rewards, including a limited edition skin.

For the mode’s initial launch on June 4, you’re challenged with clearing all 25 waves of different enemies in turn-based gameplay, but only by using a single Ship. Each wave you defeat gives you rewards, so the further you manage to progress through this mode, the more you earn. If you end up clearing all 25 handcrafted waves in one go, you will be rewarded with an exclusive skin. Since the health of your Ship persists after each battle, beating the first version of this game mode will take quite some effort and strategy.

In this PvE adventure, everyone starts off with 11 cards, 4 of which are based on the type of Pirate and Ship you chose to enter the mode with. For every battle you win, you get to add a new card to your deck by choosing one of 3 given options. You can also choose to pass if you don’t like the cards on display. Players with an active VIP Pass also have a 4th card option to choose from after each battle.

The limited edition skin in question is Hanzo the Samurai, the first Pirate captain to beat the Infinite Tides. From June 4, you have 7 days to snag this Pirate skin that you can see in the image below. For the future, the developers plan on introducing leaderboards dedicated specifically to this mode. Read on to find out how you can jump in and sail through the challenging waves of this new mode for a chance at claiming the new asset while earning varied loot along the way.

Clear all 25 waves before June 11 to snag this new Pirate skin: Hanzo the Samurai!

How to Play and Earn in Pirate Nation’s Infinite Tides PvE Mode

You can play and earn in Pirate Nation’s Infinite Tides PvE game mode for free for a limited number of attempts a day.

On the main game screen, open up the navigation panel on the left side of the screen to find the new roguelite feature icon located next to the PvP mode. From there, you get to choose the Pirate and Ship you’d like to bring on your run. Both come with 2 unique cards each alongside starting cards you can use in increasingly-challenging waves. The higher level you are, the better version of Pirate and Ship cards you get, making it easier for long-time players to fight their way through, while serving as another great way for new players to grind for rewards and progress through the browser-based title quicker.

Playing this mode requires having Infinite Tides Keys. You get 3 keys for free every 24 hours, meaning you have 3 free attempts to beat this mode every day. If you want to play more in the same day, you can buy up to 3 more keys every 24 hours using 50 Gems per key.

As you enjoy this challenging new game mode, don’t forget to participate in Pirate Nation’s Legend of Darkness event, which is a new PvP season that runs from May 27 to June 25 and features 2 million $PIRATE tokens up for grabs for the top 1000 players.
