A new Eternal League Leaderboard is now live on Immutable Play, giving everyone a free chance to compete for exclusive rewards by completing a variety of different quests, including ones rewarding gameplay.
What Is Eternal League?
Eternal League is an in-development roguelike action RPG set in a sci-fi top-down 3D world. Choose your hero and make it your own by setting up its appearance, abilities, and equipment to suit your playstyle using an extensive hero customization system before jumping into fast-paced strategic combat against waves of increasingly challenging enemies in futuristic environments ranging from post-apocalyptic battlefields to neon-lit cities brimming with secrets. As you play, you’re making your way through a unique session-based progression system that makes each run a dynamic experience, as the system adjusts to your performance in real-time by adequately providing appropriate upgrades and challenges to keep each session varied and exciting.
Over time, you get to further upgrade your hero with a wide range of new skills and powerful gear while recruiting a diverse range of companions to fight by your side, such as Tanks, Rangers, and Mages. Each companion differs in personality and skills, with the option to fully upgrade them available to make them even more useful in battle. You can bring multiple companions into your session, meaning that you can try tinkering with various team compositions in order to find the strongest combo capable of withstanding anything that stands in your way.
Further keeping each playthrough a diverse experience is the inclusion of an innovative glyph system, which allows you to equip mystical runes that can randomize and augment your hero’s skills, adding a layer of unpredictability to your session. These glyphs can unlock deadly abilities and combos that could significantly help you survive longer, but you won’t know what power these runes bring until you try them.
In terms of web3 features, the game is powered by Immutable zkEVM and players can collect NFT gear that can be traded, upgraded, as well as broken into crafting materials. Next to owning equipment as on-chain assets, these NFTs look set to go beyond the developer’s first game to provide cross-game utility across their ecosystem, which looks set to include a card game that is planned to go live in beta in Q4 2025.
Eternal League initially launched in early access on Steam on March 26, 2025, as a web2 title for the price of $5.99, but this was followed by a free to play web3 launch on the Epic Games Store on June 27, in line with a new roadmap published back in May, when they partnered with Immutable. It’s in development by Eternal Squares, with the early access version featuring core gameplay mechanics, 5 playable heroes, 4 different levels, and 10 companions. According to the FAQ section of the official store page from the F2P blockchain version, progress is saved during updates, and the team might keep the game in early access for around 6 months. The full release is set to include more abilities, new unique heroes, new levels, and expanded gameplay in the form of new mechanics and challenges.

How to Earn Rewards in Eternal League’s Immutable Play Leaderboard
The Eternal League Leaderboard launched on Immutable Play on August 29, and anyone can compete for exclusive rewards by playing the action RPG and completing quests to try and rank in the top 200 players over the course of around 3 months.
To get started, download the game on the Epic Games Store and head to the game’s official page on Immutable Play to sign up to the gamified rewards platform using your email address or a social sign in option such as Google, Apple, or Facebook. From there, you can start completing quests to earn points used to rank you up the leaderboard. If you linked your social account, then you have a chance each week to be among 40 participants to win surprise rewards. Make sure to link your accounts in order to track quest completion.
Most of the quests are either related to gameplay or on-chain transactions, with only one social quest included in the daily section to reward you for posting about the game on X. Other daily quests include earning a key reward from missions, completing 1 Eternal Mode run, and reaching a 10k score or higher in Eternal Mode, which is the game’s endless wave-based mode. Next to daily tasks, there are 5 one-off quests to earn points from. One of them includes completing all 16 Expedition levels, while the rest include completing a primary sale transaction with USDC from the game’s web shop, buying the Eternal League Early Supporter Pack, holding the Legendary Eternal League NFT in your Immutable Passport for 7 days, and holding any Miniature NFT in Passport. Accessing Expedition levels requires having keys that are earned from completing missions using Miniatures.
Overall, by completing gameplay quests and NFT-gated tasks throughout these ~90 days, you get to climb the leaderboard, where the top 200 players are said to win various prizes depending on the final ranking. Finishing in the top 50 is rewarded with an Eternal League NFT, while the next 150 highest-ranked players are set to win a starter pack and Eternal Shards for the studio’s upcoming mobile game. Additionally, participating and doing quests for this leaderboard also rewards you with Immutable Gems, the platform’s reward currency that can be used to redeem Keys of varying rarity, which are needed to enter the ecosystem’s Weekly Draws that give anyone a chance to earn various goodies such as more Gems, $IMX tokens, a free entry for the next draw, or a Key Tier-Up for the upcoming weekly draw.
If you like action RPGs and prefer competing in leaderboards that favor skill-based missions and NFT-gated quests over social tasks, then this long-running leaderboard might be a fun one to check out.
There’s been plenty of news in the Immutable ecosystem throughout this month. Earlier in the month, Immutable expanded into the $300 billion web2 gaming market with Ubisoft as their first major partner, which was followed by Koin Games teaming up with the web3 gaming ecosystem to launch Project O. Last week saw the launch of the Hellmaster x Immutable Leaderboard Season, while the start of this week had Immutable welcome Spider Tanks dev GAMEDIA in a new web3 partnership.
