Soneium Score Season 3 for Sony’s L2 chain is officially live with another new 28-day period through which the web3 community can be rewarded for their on-chain interactions with an exclusive NFT (SBT) badge.

What Is the Soneium Score?

The Soneium Score is a dynamic proof-of-contribution platform that transforms every on-chain interaction into measurable reputation within the Soneium ecosystem. Built around the principle that every blockchain action should matter, this system rewards users for engaging across DeFi, gaming, and NFT protocols on Sony’s network.

Rather than offering one-time airdrops or static rewards, Soneium Score introduces a continuous engagement model that allows participants to grow their on-chain presence and reputation through consistent activity. Each 28-day season refreshes with new scoring opportunities, featured partners, and NFT badges for active participants.

User scores are based on 4 main categories: Activity Score, Liquidity Score, NFT Score, and Bonus Score.

  • Activity Score measures transaction frequency, active streaks, and engagement days.
  • Liquidity Score evaluates a user’s contribution to total value locked (TVL) across integrated protocols.
  • NFT Score rewards holders of specific collections in both Sony NFT and ecosystem categories.
  • Bonus Score grants extra points for interacting with featured partner projects during the season.

Users who reach 80 points or more out of a possible 100 earn a unique soulbound token (SBT) badge, a non-transferable proof of their on-chain participation. These badges, permanently tied to each user’s wallet, serve as digital recognition of consistent engagement and contribution across this network. You can only claim one badge per season and collecting these badges is set to unlock “something truly epic,” but no exact details are available at the time of writing. However, if you don't want to miss the chance of earning possibly valuable rewards by owning a seasonal badge and you missed out on previous seasons, then it's probably best to begin collecting badges as soon as possible, starting with the third season.

What’s New in Soneium Score Season 3?

Following 2 successful seasons with more than 90k participants and 53 million transactions, Soneium Score Season 3 is now live until November 20. The new season builds on this momentum by introducing fresh partnerships, expanded NFT categories, and a refined scoring system designed to keep participation fair, dynamic, and rewarding.

Season 3 highlights 4 major partners across DeFi, blockchain gaming, and NFTs:

  • Stargate Finance – A cross-chain liquidity protocol that connects over 50 blockchains, enabling instant and seamless movement of assets across networks. Participants engaging with Stargate will earn bonus points through liquidity-related actions. Bridging ETH and/or USDC 5 times is said to award bonus points for this season.
  • Zombie Idle Defense – The popular web2 mobile title with over 14 million players returns as an on-chain play to earn game on Soneium. Interacting with the new blockchain version provides additional scoring opportunities through gameplay and token integration.
  • Sonova NFT Marketplace – A native NFT platform built directly on Soneium, empowering creators and collectors to trade and mint digital assets. Holding or transacting with Sonova NFTs contributes to the NFT Score category.
  • Soneium Community Quest via Layer3 – A series of interactive quests powered by Layer3, offering participants additional Bonus Score opportunities through direct ecosystem engagement.

Each of these projects broadens the scope of activities that count toward a player’s overall score, keeping the experience fresh throughout the 28-day cycle.

This season continues to feature the Sony NFT Score and Ecosystem NFT Score categories while introducing 1 new Sony NFT and 19 ecosystem NFTs, including 7 newly added collections, making it possiby easier for both newcomers and long-term participants to reach the 80-point threshold.

Participants who achieve a score of 80 or higher will unlock the Season 3 SBT Badge, an exclusive NFT symbolizing their contribution to Soneium. The badge is non-transferable and permanently linked to each participant’s wallet, serving as verifiable proof of reputation and engagement.

Eligible users who end up earning this exclusive reward will need to mint it. The minting process will occur in two stages:

  • Stage 1: For addresses scoring between 84–100, minting opens first and remains available for two weeks.
  • Stage 2: For addresses scoring 80–83, minting opens immediately after Stage 1 ends.

Both groups receive the same badge, with this staggered system said to ensure a smooth and fair minting experience for all eligible users.

How to Participate in Soneium Score Season 3

Participation in Soneium Score is open to everyone, from newcomers to long-term users, over a 28-day period that ends on November 20.

You can get started by visiting the official website and connecting your wallet. This enables automatic tracking of your activity across integrated protocols.

Earn points across 4 main scoring categories throughout the 28-day season:

  • Activity Score: Perform consistent on-chain actions such as swaps, NFT trades, or other transactions. Each day with at least one transaction counts toward your streak.
  • Liquidity Score: Add liquidity to any supported protocols. Eligible protocols include Aave, Stargate, SoneFi, Uniswap, Kyo Finance, and more, per the FAQ.
  • NFT Score: Hold approved Sony NFTs or ecosystem NFTs. The official list of eligible collections and their scoring weights can be found on the official website.
  • Bonus Score: Complete special activities linked to Season 3 partners, such as quests on Layer3 or interactions with featured dApps like Zombie Idle Defense or Sonova.

Scores reset each season, but your badges remain permanently attached to your wallet. This means your contribution history builds over time, visually displaying your long-term engagement and participation across the Soneium network.

To maximize your chances of reaching the required score and gaining eligibility to mint the exclusive Season 03 NFT (SBT) Badge, make sure to actively engage in on-chain activity daily to maintain an active streak and boost your Activity Score while provide meaningful liquidity to eligible pools to strengthen your Liquidity Score.
