Dojo Game Jam #2 has officially begun this Friday, and challenges participants to build fully on-chain games over the course of 72 hours for a chance at winning up to $12.5k in prizes.
The goal of this game jam is to create a blockchain game using the Dojo Engine, described as a “provable game engine and toolchain for building onchain games and autonomous worlds.” With this open-source game engine, individuals and teams of up to 5 are tasked with developing a game for the Dojo ecosystem in 72 hours, with the game jam ending on October 23rd.
The rules are fairly simple; your entry must be made exclusively for this jam and it must be built during this 72-hour weekend. It’s important to cite sources, so using code, plugins, libraries, and visual assets from others must be mentioned, as well as the world(s) being extended. Discriminatory content is not allowed, and the judges hold the right to remove any project from the game jam for any reason.
By taking part in this event, participants have a chance of winning up to $12.5k in prizes. Specifically, the winning project will be rewarded with $10k USD and “a special secret prize.” This likely refers to the remaining $2.5k, which seems to be part of a separate Realms track for this game jam where the team that creates the best Eternum extension will receive $2.5k worth of $LORDS tokens. Eterneum is a fully on-chain strategy game made on StarkNet and currently available in alpha.
