Entertainment company DOGAMÍ has officially announced their multi-chain expansion with the integration of the Polygon network, bridging it together with the Tezos ecosystem and enabling players to enjoy cross-chain gameplay together in DOGAMÍ Academy, a Web3 mobile racing management game.
By integrating the Polygon network alongside Tezos, DOGAMÍ expands its reach to new Web3 communities, placing itself in a pivotal position to continue garnering further growth. As a result, the studio has added 2 new features to their official marketplace that allow users to migrate their Tezos Dogamí NFTs over to Polygon as well as bridge $DOGA tokens from Tezos to the newly-integrated chain. With these features, existing NFT and $DOGA holders are also able to reap the benefits of the EVM ecosystem by migrating to Polygon, providing access to various popular marketplaces such as OpenSea, Blur, and Magic Eden. Soon, it will also be possible to stake $DOGA tokens on the game’s official website via Polygon.
Max Stöckl, the co-founder and CEO of DOGAMÍ, said the following in a press release:
“We are thrilled to announce the release of DOGAMÍ Academy to the wider web3 space. The enthusiastic response from our core community, including average daily play times of over 60 minutes and more than 500,000 races played, has fuelled our excitement and confidence in DOGAMI’s potential. Building on this momentum, we are eager to unlock additional growth by embracing a multi-chain strategy as it allows us to tap into the powerful network effects of both the Tezos & Polygon ecosystem.”
DOGAMÍ Academy is a Web3 racing game combining strategic gameplay with varied obstacle course racing catered to dog lovers. Take on exciting competitive races on the streets of Paris as your pet makes their way through a diverse range of obstacle courses that include jumping, swimming, balancing, and more. New environments are planned to be added by the end of the year, adding further variety to PvE and PvP battles as you compete for the top of the leaderboard for a chance at earning token prizes in multiplayer races. Level up your virtual companion by accumulating STAR, an in-game soft currency that is earnable in PvE races against challenging bots.
Co-founder and CBO Kristofer D. Penseyres added:
“Our vision is to bring a little more joy, fantasy, and entertainment into the world, and DOGAMÍ Academy is the perfect vehicle for us to accomplish this. We have collaborated with the best in the pet care, film, comic book, and gaming industries to create an authentic and original gaming world with highly scalable potential for future development. This initial step marks the beginning of an exciting new franchise in the gaming industry that will resonate with pet lovers, collectors, and gamers worldwide.”
The 3D game can now be played in an early access version on both Tezos and Polygon using DOGAMÍ NFTs, but in Q1 2024, the developers plan on going free-to-play, strategically opening the game to a broader audience beyond the world of Web3.
