The team behind the upcoming Web3 mobile racing management game, DOGAMÍ Academy, has recently shared some interesting sneak peeks showing the progress made in development so far, including a prototype of the first version of Adventure mode.
These sneak peeks are presented in the below video by co-founder and chief brand officer Kristofer Dayne Penseyres alongside art director Gregory Magadoux, senior UX/UI designer Benjamin Vadot and lead technical artist, Christophe Hamel.
Among the revealed sneak peeks include various concept art and research done on the environment to be used for the Dogami universe, with the art director showing some work done on the upcoming DOGAMÍ comic book so far while talking about how such form of media helps the team build a narrative framework through which they can express core concepts and build the lore of their pet-themed metaverse.
We then get to see an early version of what a race might look like on the Atlantis map in night mode, but of course, since this is a prototype, various visual effects and other important elements that add to the gameplay feel aren’t included yet. This prototype is also in landscape mode, which the chief brand officer says won’t be the case on release, as they’re shifting from landscape to portrait mode in order to make it possible for people to play with one hand, thus making it more accessible.
In order to make this transition successful, senior UX/UI designer Benjamin Vadot is working on applying best practices in an effort to create a user interface containing the right amount of information while providing an enjoyable user experience.
We then get to see the game’s Training mode where there are 6 skills you can train through specific training sessions, each designed for a particular skill, with the co-founder revealing what one training session may look like.
Afterwards, the game’s lead technical artist, who has worked in the gaming industry since 1995, talks about the implementation of a free roaming zone currently used for testing various animations while also displaying a prototype of that sandbox in action.
This open space will in the future be Adventure mode, with Kristofer Dayne Penseyres wrapping things up with a sneak peek of the first version of this mode in portrait mode that on release will look more detailed and allow players to freely enjoy interacting with their Dogami and the environment in various different ways.

The first version of DOGAMÍ Academy is scheduled to release in Q4 this year.
