Derby Stars Introduces Core Slot Expansion & More in 0.9 Update

The developers of free-to-play horse racing game Derby Stars have announced version 0.9 update, introducing Core Slot Expansion, social login integration, daily missions to earn $DSRUN in, and more.

What’s New in Version 0.9.0 Update?

The latest version to the Polygon-based title brings with it 2 new features, 1 new item, and stat & talent balance adjustments, while teasing a new upcoming system.

Daily $DSRUN Missions & Social Login Integration

Players can now earn $DSRUN every day by doing Daily Missions. According to the update post, the amount of tokens given out daily depends on the equity score earned by all players.

Next to that, the team has made the game more accessible to a broader audience through social login integration, meaning that you will now be able to login using Google, Facebook, as well as Twitter/X, thanks to “Facewallet @HaechiLabs” powering this integration. If you’re an existing player, you don’t need to create a new account – you can continue logging in using MetaMask.

Core Slot Expansion & New Update

The expansion update makes it so that all horses have at least 5 Core slots. Players need to use CRT in order to get more Core slots.

With this expansion comes the addition of a new item called Dana’s Hammer, set to be added “for increasing the probabilities for expanding Core slot.” Players will be able to acquire D grade and E grade of this item on the game’s Webshop, while higher grades will be added in the future through a new upcoming system called the Horse Retire System, for which no release date is available at the time of writing.
