The DeFi Land team has officially announced the start of closed alpha testing for their Solana-based title, Alpaca Dash.
Alpaca Dash is a blockchain racing game representing DeFi Land’s flagship title. It is described as being so much more “than an idle racing game,” with the developers mixing “the thrill of photo-finish racing games” with tactical depth.
Before getting into a race, players choose why lobby they’d like to hop in, picking the one that is best suited for their Almighty Alpaca. Every lobby is said to have its own unique ruleset that determine the racing conditions that include stat limitations and the environment, alongside the weather and types of obstacles. All this helps you choose the right Alpaca, but you can enter the race with multiple Alpacas if there is available space in the lobby.
Once the race begins, you’ll be able to watch and enjoy a cinematic racing experience that lets you switch between different camera angles as you watch your Alpaca(s) race to victory.
In the future, the team plans to add more features to add further variety to the game. These features include Grand Tournaments, Crown Races, mobile-friendly racing, Revenge Modes, and Betting.
In order to jump into closed alpha testing, you need to be an active community member as well as own an Almighty Alpaca NFT which can be bought from the game’s official marketplace, as well as on Tensor. Everyone interested is encouraged to follow the game’s Twitter account as well as join their Discord server. Through these platforms, according to the announcement, you can get a chance at potentially gaining access to the game by “answering questions from newcomers, writing twitter threads, or sharing your own artwork, illustrations, and media.”
If you don’t end up getting access, then you can look forward to Public Alpha Testing, which the official post mentions is coming soon.
