Crypto Unicorns Announces Jousting Pre-ELO Event

Crypto Unicorns developer Laguna Games has just recently announced the Jousting Pre-ELO event.

This is a time-limited event being hosted in preparation for the release of the upcoming Joust Rank (Elo rating). Through this event, the studio’s goal is to test the major stat rebalancing for their Jousting game mode, which means that players will get to participate in this event until the Joust Rank gets officially released. The new changes are planned to be included in the Tuning Update scheduled for release tomorrow, July 13.

Players will experience and get to test the significant overhaul over how various stats have an effect on the gameplay in the aforementioned game mode, while adding more relevance to the Total Score instead of having Power as just the primary Score, as Unicorns with high Power, such as the Cloud ‘Corns, have so far had the advantage over other everyone else.

As such, some of the changes that the team has decided to try out include lowering the value of Power while turning Speed into an offensive Score, meaning that fast Unicorns should be able to make stronger attacks and get more Points in the process.

The role of Endurance in Knockout Recovery has also been reworked, making it way more effective and thus more difficult to take out Unicorns with high Endurance.

Potions have also been updated with an increase in the buffs that they provide, meaning that Tier 1 now comes with a 10% Score buff, Tier 2 20% Score buff, and Tier 3 with a 30% Score buff.
