Blockchain gaming universe Cross The Ages (CTA) is officially migrating from Immutable X over to the Solana network, introducing new features while unlocking a smoother web3 gaming experience.
Why Is Cross The Ages Migrating to Solana?
CTA is said to be making this strategic transition in order to unlock “greater freedom” in how the team builds and manages game assets, enabling the developers to utilize a more flexible infrastructure that in turn should lead to a smoother and overall better experience for gamers, alongside “fresh opportunities for investors.”
“The migration to Solana opens a new chapter for Cross The Ages: a smoother, more secure experience brimming with DeFi-oriented opportunities. So, get ready, choose your primary account carefully, start consolidating your assets, and dive into this new era with us.”
A variety of new features are being added to this ecosystem as part of the migration process. Let’s check them out!
New CTA Features Being Added With Solana Migration
This migration brings with it new features and a number of adjustments to existing assets. As part of this migration, you can look forward to the introduction of Divine Cards, crafting the SR39, the Eternal Multiplier, a new authentication system, the end of multi-accounting, disappearance of Flex cards, and more.
Divine Cards is a new classification to cards that belong to investors and the team. They were previously known as Exclusives, despite their lack of inclusion in physical collections. As such, the developers felt it was better to give them a new rarity, Divine, for better clarity.
The SR39 will be possible to craft directly in the trading card game or through a dedicated section in the Portal once the Eternal Multiplier system goes live. The reveal is coming soon, but crafting costs are already known and they vary based on a number of factors, which you can find included in the official blog post.

Once Season 4 begins, you can expect Flex cards to be completely retired, meaning that only Static and Eternal cards will be usable in this web3 gaming ecosystem. Existing Flex cards will be converted into Static cards at the end of Season 3, which closes on September 25.
Next to retiring Flex cards, the Forge system on Blast is set to be discontinued as well. It will be temporarily replaced with a cost of 50 Eternal Stones instead of 1 Flex Roll, while all Flex Rolls will be converted into 50 Eternal Stones each. This means that minting is changing so that it only applies to Static cards. Minting costs will vary based on card rarity, and you will need $CTA to mint new cards, alongside Trisel and Eternal Stones ”if the card was already crafted.” Rank 1 cards will only require $CTA tokens, and anyone who wants to avoid minting costs can simply buy Eternal Packs directly from the Portal. These packs come with pre-minted Rank 1 Eternal cards at a price that is set to be equal to the minting cost of last season. Once Season 4 goes live, card minting will continue to be open for one year, with Eternal cards getting unique numbers assigned at the end of the minting period to give everyone a fair chance at receiving a low-numbered card.
The Eternal Multiplier (EM) is a new points system designed to increase your Trisel earnings across all CTA games. For the TCG, this multiplier is based on the total Eternal Stones you would gain if you’d shred all your Eternal cards without applying bonuses. By introducing this system, the team hopes it will boost “the value of your card collection” and improve the ecosystem “through rentals, marketplace activity, and CTA token exposure.”
With this migration, traditional multi-accounting that players have used to maximize their Trisel earnings will be gone. Listening to community feedback, who have “consistently expressed a desire to generate more Trisel per game while valuing Eternal cards” instead of dealing with a complex multi-account system, the team is adding a binder system where each account has to be KYC verified in order to allow players, “including those with multiple accounts,” to earn Trisel in a single game via Eternal Cards and VIP level. This means that you won’t need to manage multiple accounts and games to maximize your Trisel earnings, as Trisel will be only accessible through the Eternal Multiplier, adding value to Eternal cards. You will be able to easily sell Trisel through the CTA/CTATRI pool directly on the Portal, and it will be way more convenient having all your assets stored in one account instead of having them spread out across multiple profiles.
Overall, by ending multi-accounting, the team aims to bring stronger security and new opportunities to play to earn, as you will be able to rent out individual cards with $CTA tokens as well as stake tokens, buy Trisel, and more.

A new authentication system is also being added to improve the onboarding process, meaning players will now be able to create an account via Phantom, Google, Apple, or Epic Games. For the migration process however, Phantom is your main identification method to getting your assets transferred, but you can add social options afterwards in your account settings.
Everyone who migrates before Season 4 starts will be rewarded with Palmer/Erika cards (random alternative or standard) and will automatically enter a draw for the “prestigious Eli’Jah Unique card.” Rewards will be distributed at the end of Season 3. The migration process requires using a Phantom wallet (mobile users must use the integrated browser of Phantom) and completing basic KYC. Anyone with an existing account can head to the Portal section of the official website and start the migration process through the login page.
Plenty more details on all the changes this massive transition brings, including detailed instructions on how to migrate, can be found in the official article linked in the X announcement post.
About Cross The Ages
Cross The Ages is a blockchain gaming ecosystem and transmedia universe that initially began as a series of novels blending fantasy and sci-fi elements. Backed by Animoca Brands, the ecosystem is now comprised of a free to play trading card game with 400k+ downloads, and a new game, Arise, is currently in development.
Anyone can play to earn in the ecosystem’s flagship TCG and own cards as tradable NFTs while earning Trisel through gameplay and exchanging it to the $CTA ecosystem token. Get started for free by downloading the web3 card game on PC or mobile. It’s available on the Epic Games Store, as well as on Android and iOS through the Google Play Store and Apple App Store respectively.
Arise is an upcoming real-time action RPG in development in Unreal Engine 5. The second closed playtest for it was hosted last month with $25k worth of rewards, and you can wishlist it on Steam ahead of its upcoming free to play launch.
