The Continuum World team has revealed that the UM Shop is ready to be added to the game on Tuesday, September 12th, while sharing various new details for First Explorer Season 3.
The store is now ready to be brought into the farming-based play-to-earn 2D MMO following the successful integration of a new system for crypto payments.
As for Season 3, the developers have revealed that there will be Birdums hunting, eggs, and Birdum feather ranking. This means that collecting eggs will be at the core of the upcoming new season. They will be attainable through completing Birdum missions as well as by buying them in the Gacha Machine.
The eggs are categorized based on rarity and biome. As such there are 6 biome eggs, meaning one egg type for each biome, and 4 egg patterns, or one pattern for each rarity. Every egg comes with a Birdum based on the biome and rarity, with the latter affecting the Birdum’s stats. Eggs won’t be possible to hatch in this season, so you’ll have to wait for the next one in order to get your Birdum NFT from opening eggs.
Next to getting eggs, this season will also feature Birdum hunting, which you’ll be doing by finding a Birdum footprint icon on the map. Clicking on the icon will place you into a minigame where you are given a clue about the next trace location and direction, with the goal being to get there before time runs out. You’ll be searching for multiple Birdum traces, and once you find the final trace, a Birdum icon will appear inside the island of the last trace, allowing you to press on it. This will lead to the UMGear-Z screen opening, giving you another minigame where you have only one capture attempt to get the randomly-moving Birdum.
Players will be able to gain various different feathers from Birdum drops in an effort to climb the new Birdum Ranking leaderboard and try to be among the highest-ranked players to win exclusive ranking eggs. The leaderboard will reset every 3 days, meaning that only feathers gained during that 3-day period will count towards the ranking.
