Collectible NFT card game Illuvium Beyond is heading into Wave 4 on May 20th with a host of new additions and a new opportunity to collect to earn rewards.
Wave 4 of Illuvium Beyond is packed with new Illuvitars, updated collections, and new features to enjoy while potentially earning rewards along the way. By participating in this new Wave and collecting customizable Illuvitars while equipping them with various accessories and filling out the Illuvitar Album, you have an opportunity to unlock soulbound in-game rewards and earn $ILV tokens by climbing the leaderboard in this NFT-focused game in the Illuvium universe.
Specifically, Wave 4 of Set 1 brings a whopping 227 new collectable items to the mix. These include the following:
Collectors can get new Illuvitars and Accessories through tradable containers called D1SKs. Opening these lootboxes gives you 5 different items. There are 2 types of D1SKs: Standard D1SK (499 FUEL), and Mega D1SK (2999 FUEL). Purchasing D1SKs with Fuel contributes toward community stretch goals, while opening them benefits personal stretch goals. Two more types of D1SKs are available in limited quantity in an upcoming Alpha Sale. More on that a bit later.
A Standard Illuvitar D1SK contains 1 random Illuvitar, 3 random Accessories, and 1 bonus Tier 0 Illuvitar. As for the Illuvitar Mega D1SK, opening one brings you 1 random Illuvitar, 3 random Accessories, and 1 guaranteed Rare Illuvitar. The contents of each D1SK are said to be determined “by weighted randomness across several attributes.” The structure of Wave 4 is aligned with Set 1 in general, but exclusive Wave content is said to have its own distribution. Tier 0 Illuvitars, Accessories, and Backgrounds use consistent Set 1 weights across all Waves though.
The weighed attributes that determine a random Illuvitar in every D1SK include tier, stage, expression, finish, background tier, and background stage. Tier 0 backgrounds cannot appear on random Illuvitars.
If you’d like to get a Mega D1SK, then you can look forward to receiving 1 guaranteed Rare Illuvitar. This rare NFT has 1450+ Solar Power, which puts it in the top 8.5% of all Illuvitars. This Power includes both base Illuvitar and background bonuses. It is said that collectors would need to open around 12 Standard D1SKs on average to get an Illuvitar with this power level. Buyers of the Mega D1SK can also have a potential chance of getting a common Illuvitar with a rare background or a rare Illuvitar with a basic background.
Every Illuvitar has their own Power Score, which is an important metric in determining the number of points it awards to your Album. How high Power is depends on base Illuvitar stats, background rarity, and accessory impact.
“Wave 4 builds on everything introduced so far in Set 1, offering more depth, more variety, and new exclusive Illuvitars. Whether you’re a completionist, a collector, or a casual player aiming for rewards, there’s something to chase this Wave.”

Next to the Standard and Mega D1SKs, Illuvium fans can look forward to 2 more types of D1SKs to purchase only in the Wave 4 Alpha Sale, but in limited quantity: Standard Alpha D1SKs (999 FUEL), and Mega Alpha D1SKs (8999 FUEL).
These special Alpha D1SKs are said to provide “no gameplay advantage” in the Beyond Album, but they do give you bonus points that contribute towards personal and community stretch goals while having a new visual effect. Every Alpha D1SK also comes with an exclusive Alpha symbol that is stamped on each Illuvitar to highlight its rarity and show your contribution to this new Wave.
Only 2500 Standard Alpha D1SKs will be up for grabs, with each awarding 3 points. As for Mega Alpha D1SKs, the supply is only 1000, and each of them gives you 27 points.
The Alpha Sale begins at the same time as the Extended sale, but will only last for 24 hours and be limited in supply.
