ChronosWorlds has officially revealed the date for its long-awaited Token Generation Event (TGE). According to the team, the $SPHR token will launch on December 27. A pre-registration page for the public sale is scheduled to go live today, though it has not yet been published as of writing.

This marks the project's biggest ecosystem update since the delay of the Season 0 Public Phase, which was originally set to start in November. Following today's announcement, players now have a confirmed timeline leading into the new year.

TGE Schedule Now Public

The roadmap for $SPHR's token launch is now officially in place. On December 17, the pre-registration page for the token sale will open. This will give early supporters the opportunity to sign up ahead of the public sale. Then, on December 25, the team will publish the full results of the previously held $SPHR airdrop campaign. Finally, on December 27, both the token sale and TGE will begin.

The TGE is expected to activate all token-related features in the game, including its use for crafting, upgrades, events, and more. But the tokenomics breakdown, such as total supply and distribution details, has still not been released by the developers.

$SPHR main use cases

$SPHR Powers the ChronosWorlds Ecosystem

$SPHR is described by the team as a "utility-first" token. It is designed to act as the core layer of the game's economy, linking player effort with long-term assets and ownership. In ChronosWorlds, multiple in-game currencies exist, but $SPHR sits at the top of that system.

It will be used for several key activities. The most prominent is crafting Quantum NFTs, which are special tradable items with permanent utility. These NFTs can only be created using a mix of gameplay materials and $SPHR tokens, and often come with unique perks.

Beyond crafting, the token also allows for progression boosts such as XP increases, energy cap expansions, and extra crafting slots. These boosts are designed to speed up gameplay without breaking balance.

Players will also need $SPHR to enter high-stakes tournaments and exclusive boss events. These VIP-level modes carry entry fees paid in $SPHR, with a portion of the token supply being burned as part of a long-term sink system.

In addition, seasonal content like time-limited dungeons and special events will be gated behind $SPHR-based access.

Quantum NFTs and Crafting System

The Quantum crafting system was briefly introduced by the team in recent updates. You will get to create Quantum NFT items by combining your in-game resources with $SPHR tokens. These items are not only permanent and tradable, but are also indestructible once forged.

Crafting these NFTs is set to become one of the most important uses of $SPHR. Higher-tier items will likely require greater amounts of resources and tokens, creating long-term demand tied directly to player activity.

Season 0 Public Phase Still on Hold

Back in November, the team launched the Season 0 Warm-Up Phase, giving early Game Pass holders a chance to earn rewards through gameplay. This phase gave out 1 million $SPHR across leaderboard events, with the top 5 players earning more than 27,000 tokens each.

The next step, the Season 0 Public Phase, was supposed to begin on November 10. It was set to open ChronosWorlds to a wider audience, while reserving reward eligibility for Game Pass owners. The total prize pool for this stage was set at 4 million $SPHR.

Under the original plan, players in the Public Phase would enter the game for free, explore dungeons, complete objectives, and earn leaderboard points. Those with the Season 0 Game Pass would qualify for token rewards. The gameplay involved both PvE and PvP mechanics, including Ambush Mode and progression-based events.

But the Public Phase was delayed by the team shortly before launch. In a Discord announcement, CEO Enrique Phan said they needed more time to improve mobile access and flesh out the event calendar. They also stated that Fractals, the previous event currency, would be temporarily disabled. During this downtime, players can still play the game as usual, but cannot earn airdrop-related rewards.

It remains unclear whether the reward system and mechanics from the original Public Phase will return exactly as they were.

ChronosWorlds Is Now Publicly Available

Although the main reward event is delayed, the full version of ChronosWorlds is now live. You can download the game and enter Adventure Mode without needing a game pass.

Inside Adventure Mode, you will progress through procedurally generated dungeons, fight bosses, collect items, and level up. The game supports both solo play and party-based co-op, with parties of up to 4 players. PvP modes are also available, with competitive content continuing to expand.

ChronosWorlds uses a 2.5D art style and features a colorful post-apocalyptic setting. Players gather in a hub world called The Broken Temple, where they can trade, craft, fish, and interact with others. Over 100 players can be present in the hub at the same time.

While blockchain features like $SPHR and NFT crafting are optional, they are closely tied to the game's economy. The game is now available on PC via the Epic Games Store, and also as a test version on Google Play and iOS TestFlight.

Airdrop Results Coming Soon

Another key date following today's announcement is December 25. This is when the results of the previous airdrop campaign will be fully published. Many players took part in earlier events tied to leaderboards and NFTs, and this update will show exactly how much $SPHR each participant has earned.

The airdrop was conducted in multiple phases, including a leaderboard event during the Warm-Up Phase. That campaign alone gave out over 1 million $SPHR, and the December 25 update will summarize the full data.

No further airdrop campaigns have been announced at this time. But based on previous patterns, more reward events are likely after the TGE and the return of the Public Phase.

Tokenomics Still Pending

As of writing, full tokenomics for $SPHR have not been made public. That means we don't know the exact total supply, vesting schedules, team allocation, or how many tokens will be sold during the public sale.

The developers have said that more info will be released closer to the TGE. Until then, only the token use case and event timeline have been announced.

With the TGE now confirmed for next week and the pre-registration opening today, the $SPHR token launch is entering its final stage. More updates are expected soon, including full sale details and economic breakdowns.
