Following the launch of ChronosWorlds Season 0, Sphere Studios is back with a number of updates and announcements to share with its web3 gaming community ahead of this season’s public launch phase, updating the prize pool and bringing a number of changes to deliver a better blockchain gaming experience.

What Is ChronosWorlds?

ChronosWorlds is a 2.5D action-platformer and RPG that is set in a colorful post-apocalyptic world in which players get to explore narrative-driven dungeon worlds comprised of procedurally generated levels and PvP game modes. Before entering combat, players gather in the social hub known as The Broken Temple, where more than 100 players can roam, fish, craft, trade, duel, or team up.

In Adventure Mode, solo or in parties of up to 4, players progress through increasingly difficult dungeons, collecting loot, crafting gear, and facing challenging bosses. Death in a dungeon causes loss of carried items unless the player extracts in time. On the competitive side, the game supports real-time multiplayer PvP modes and seasonal events, with an emphasis on continuous content updates and a player-driven economy.

When it comes to web3 features, players can optionally own NFT characters known as “Travelers”, earn the ecosystem token $SPHR and participate in seasonal reward campaigns. Free to play access exists, but ownership of the S0 Game Pass unlocks the ability to play to earn, both in the ongoing phase and the upcoming public release.
