Chibi Clash Introduces the $CLASH Token - Claim Your Airdrop on August 14th!

The developers of the Polygon-backed, AI-powered gaming ecosystem Chibi Clash have announced that the launch and airdrop claim of the $CLASH token will take place this Wednesday, August 14th on the Base network. All the tokenomics details have now been revealed, so let’s dive in and see how you can claim your airdrop! 

What Is the $CLASH Token?

$CLASH is the core ERC-20 utility token of the Chibi Clash ecosystem. It’s launching on Coinbase’s Base chain and is set to integrate with various games part of this Web3 universe to further increase player engagement in a variety of different ways while also unlocking access to exclusive AI-powered experiences.

Utility

A variety of use cases accompany this ecosystem token, as it will be usable both as a game currency and as a staking token. This means that you’ll be able to use the gaming token to purchase exclusive items, skins, and characters to unlock unique customization options. Land plots in Chibi Clash Kingdom will be upgradeable using the token, improving the “strategic value” and productivity of the plot. The token will also enable users to buy more Energy and Action Points so that you can continue playing more in a single day if the free amount you’re given daily is not enough.

As for staking, doing so will let you earn airdrops and exclusive prizes every season, as well as allow you to take part in competitions and various special events to compete for rewards. This probably means you’ll need varying amounts of staked tokens to participate in certain events and tournaments. If you’d like to take part in governance and vote on proposals and decisions affecting the ecosystem and its games, then staking will be the way to go.

We’re not done with staking benefits though. Players looking forward to exclusive “AI-enhanced gaming experiences” will want to stake $CLASH tokens, as that will let you access not only experiences developed in-house, but also ones made in partnership with “leading web3 x AI projects” from whom you can expect to see “cutting-edge AI-driven gameplay and benefits.” In an official blog post, the studio has teased 3 AI partners that they plan to reveal in the future, as seen in the image above. Tokenomics

Most of the token’s 5 billion total supply has been allocated for Ecosystem Rewards (30%) and for an Ecosystem Fund/Treasury (30%), the former used to reward the community, and the latter dedicated for making various initiatives, such as rewarding ecosystem contributors and for setting up marketing campaigns. I’m assuming the claimable airdrops on TGE come from one of these sections, as the announcement states that “a large portion of the total $CLASH supply” will be claimable by the community on launch. The Discord bot in the official server also mentions that there is no vesting schedule for tokens allocated for airdrops, so you should be able to claim 100% of your allocation on launch. While team and advisor/contributor allocations won’t unlock at all on TGE, 4% of investor and 10% of KOL/strategic partner allocations will, as shown in the table below:

How to Claim Your $CLASH Airdrop

If you participated in Chibi Clash’s Play 2 Airdrop event and Kingdom Alliance event, and earned enough points for doing so, then you should have achieved one of the ranks in the image to be eligible to claim an airdrop of $CLASH tokens on August 13th at 5 AM UTC (Edit: a new announcement now confirms that the date is actually August 14th, 5 AM UTC). A snapshot for this first season was taken by Chibi Clash on August 1st, and you can check how much $CLASH has been allocated to you by heading to the new Clash Foundation website, which is also linked in this tweet from the official thread on X. The Clash Foundation is said to be the “Guardians of the $CLASH ecosystem,” according to a Discord announcement, which likely means that it’s the official DAO through which stakers will participate in governance. Speaking of staking, it will actually open at the same time TGE takes place, so you can start staking right away after claiming your tokens. If you stake straight away after claiming, you’ll be given a staking bonus, though what that bonus specifically means does not seem to be known at the time of writing.

On August 13th at 6 AM UTC, the team will be hosting an X space with 3 of their partners to discuss how AI can improve gameplay and UX, while sharing a sneak peek of the project's upcoming features.
