Blockchain MMORPG Chains of the Eternals has received a new development report providing huge updates, including the unveiling of the game’s first playable build.
In this 55th report, the developers reveal that they’ve hit a significant milestone, and that is the creation of a stable build referred to as V1 Alpha.
This initial build is said to include PvE combat and fully-integrated multiplayer. While the team used a different multiplayer system earlier, due to it not being adequate enough for the game the studio decided to build a new system from the ground up to meet their specific needs. PvE battles have been completely integrated into smart contracts, syncing up visuals with the blockchain to ensure a smooth gameplay experience. According to the report, players will be able to see each move in the blockchain explorer. While the focus has so far been on the PvE side of fights, the team has teased that “PvP battles are just around the corner.”
Sneak peeks of one of the new maps have been provided in the report, with the image above and the one at the beginning of the article showing parts of a new map. More areas are currently in the works, with the developers teasing that there will be thousands of maps to explore.
The in-game wallet has been significantly updated in order to provide a better user experience. It’s now fully functional, allowing players to import their own wallet or create a new one that hides transaction confirmations to ensure a smooth and accessible gameplay.
That being said, all of the main smart contracts have been integrated into the game, making all the blockchain intricacies take place behind the scenes so that players can have an immersive experience. The smart contracts that seem to have been integrated include Quests, Crafting, Spells, Stat Points.
This is just some of the many new developments revealed in the large new report, which can be found linked in the official tweet below.
