The online role playing game Chainmonsters has launched their own native NFT marketplace on the Flow blockchain. Players can trade, transfer and sell game items with each other. In addition developer B-Side Games announced that they are now migrating to full custodial wallets.
B-Side Games has partnered with Blocto Wallet to allow players to have full control over their NFTs, without the developers having control. Blocto works on every mobile phone, and also offers its own token swap functionality. This might game handy for future play-to-earn games that require token swapping. Anyway, simply connect your Blocto wallet to your Chainmonsters account. If you need some help, check out the official tutorial.
Only after you migrated your wallet, you will proper access to the NFT marketplace. Gamers without alpha access to Chainmonsters, can still go onto the marketplace if they use the Blocto wallet. Through the wallet you can use Moonpay as a fiat on-ramp, allowing you to buy FUSD. That's the Flow-version of the US dollar.
This is actually quite important news to gamers who are active in the alpha. Once the Alpha-6 releases, the final alpha update, gamers need to have a Blocto wallet connected to their account. Without it, no alpha access.
The update will launch a new game world with new features. Players will start in the south of the game world in a small village. From there they will venture deeper into the continent to join the N-Corp.
Among the new features, will be the ability to catch Chainmons. Gamers can use their Replicator, and have a chance to copy a mon and add a level 5 version to their collection. Every time you try to replicate Chainmons, there’s a tiny chance that it becomes a shadow version of that mon. Replicating isn’t infinite, as it consumer one replicator charge. Saved Chainmons will go into your inventory, and players can always adjust their squads.
Chainmonsters is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game inspired by classic games like The Legend of Zelda and Pokémon. It runs on PC and mobile devices. Players will be competing against each other. Every player is an agent working for a corporation. There’s a mysterious disease that makes all creatures more aggressive, and there’s a weird crystal in the world. Guess who needs to find out? But can players trust the corporation? Who knows.
Players will need to acquire all kinds of little monsters. Some of them can only be found in certain regions, others only for a limited time. These monsters come from different elements, nine in total. These are generally home to a certain island or region: pyro, hydro, nature, electro, air, cryo, geo, and crystal.
Each of those mons has several basic attributes: health points (HP), attack, defense, elemental attack, elemental defense, speed, and stamina points (SP). In addition, each mon has individual values for each stats, which means that mons can have different stats even though they look the same.
