Cambria has confirmed that its RSGP token is coming in August. The risk-to-earn MMO announced the launch alongside a community reward, airdropping Loot Chests containing RSGP to everyone in the community who stuck around through the bear market. The studio framed it as a thank-you to loyal players, saying it wants them involved, and gave a clear deadline: players have 14 days to claim.
The RSGP loot drop rewards long-term participation rather than fresh sign-ups. By tying the airdrop to players who stayed engaged during the downturn, Cambria is directing its token launch toward its most committed community members ahead of the wider rollout.
How the loot drop works
The mechanic is straightforward. Eligible community members receive Loot Chests, and those chests contain RSGP tokens. Opening them is how players claim their share of the launch distribution. The catch is the timer. The claim window lasts 14 days, so players need to act within that period or risk missing out on their allocation.
This structure mirrors how Cambria has run rewards before. The game has long used loot crates, called Bribes in its earlier seasons, that players open in the game lobby to claim in-game rewards and airdrop points. The RSGP loot drop applies that familiar format to the actual token launch, turning a known mechanic into the vehicle for the airdrop.
The road to the RSGP token
The token launch has been a long time coming. Across its Gold Rush campaign, Cambria ran multiple airdrop seasons that distributed points ahead of a planned token, with the studio describing later rounds as the final points distributions before the token launch. Players spent months collecting airdrop points called Trinkets, earned through loot extraction, guild activity, and a system of influence, all of which fed into the eventual token allocation.
Those seasons built the foundation for RSGP. Each ran as a limited, high-stakes window, often lasting 14 days, where players ventured into dangerous zones to extract loot and cash it in for rewards including ETH, RON, and USDC. Season 3, subtitled The Depths Below, extended that model with three earning routes covering direct adventuring, influence farming, and passive investment. The RSGP drop now converts that accumulated participation into a live token, and the 14-day claim window echoes the cadence of those earlier seasons.
Inside Cambria
Cambria is a risk-to-earn MMORPG set in a shattered, post-catastrophe fantasy world. It plays as a top-down 2D extraction game where players leave a safe hub, the Capital City, and venture into dangerous PvPvE zones to find corrupted loot such as Artifacts, Curios, and Gems. The core tension is extraction. Players must return their loot safely to cash it in, since dying in a high-risk zone can mean losing everything they were carrying. That high-stakes loop is the game's defining hook.
The game runs on both Ronin and Abstract, giving it fast transactions and smooth in-game integrations across two networks known for onchain gaming. Recovered loot is exchanged at the Royal Treasury for in-game currency and Royal Favor, the game's influence system, which can then be converted into real onchain rewards. Cambria has paid out in ETH, RON, and USDC across its seasons, funding those pools from the ETH and RON that players spend inside the game.
Access is gated through a season pass system called the Royal Charter, which players mint onchain to unlock full earning features and daily Energy regeneration. Energy is the key resource that limits how long a player can stay outside safe zones, and Charters come in multiple tiers that add trading privileges, guild leadership access, and advanced features. Free-to-play options exist through guild sponsorships, letting newer players participate without minting a Charter upfront.
Roles, guilds, and the player economy
Cambria leans hard into a player-driven economy with distinct roles beyond straightforward adventuring. Paymasters act as passive investors who generate earnings by funding other players through Charter deposits and sponsorships, while Viceroys and Patrons lead guilds that coordinate activity to secure lower tax rates and larger reward shares. That structure lets players engage with the economy whether they want to grind in dangerous zones or invest from the safety of the hub.
Royal Favor sits at the center of the influence layer. It provides passive Bribes containing airdrop trinkets and raffle rewards, determines seasonal leaderboards, and grants multipliers, achievements, and unique NFT rewards to top players and guilds. NFTs like the Founder's Collection offer exclusive perks, and the studio has run Land Raffle Tickets tied to an upcoming Land NFT sale. Cambria has also partnered with other onchain titles for crossover events, recently running a Giglings racing collaboration with Gigaverse that handed out dungeon keys across hundreds of free races.
With the RSGP token now dated for August and Loot Chests going out to loyal players, Cambria is converting years of seasonal airdrop farming into a live token economy. The immediate priority for players is the clock: chests must be claimed within the 14-day window before the token fully arrives.
