Blocklords has opened its largest in-game event to date. On December 22, the medieval-themed grand strategy MMO rolled out a new feature called Region Wars, along with the start of its Battleborne Season 4. The event comes with a 500,000 $LRDS prize pool (roughly $22,000 in total), making it the biggest reward in the game's history.
Players can join at any point between now and February 4, 2026. The new system encourages group efforts and coordinated play, while also rewarding individual performance through 2 separate leaderboards.
Regional Conflict Becomes the Focus in Latest Update
Region Wars is a new mode where players are grouped into regional factions. Each group can choose to go to war with others by pooling resources, heroes, and squads. Once a ruler picks a target region and declares war, the event begins on a real-time schedule and cannot be reversed.
At the core of this event is a stat called War Power. It's affected by player donations and decisions and represents the overall strength of a region during a conflict. Players can also share Influence, a resource that unlocks regional boosts, to shift the outcome of battles. The more a region works together, the more effective it becomes in war.
Farms are locked during the entire event. This means once you pick a side, you can't move your character to another region or relocate your base until the event ends. All results are final.
Season 4 Introduces Dual Leaderboards
While Region Wars highlights team competition, Season 4 reintroduces individual challenges through a second leaderboard. Both are running in parallel.
The Region Wars leaderboard rewards full groups based on how well they perform in war. The best regions split the $LRDS prize pool, and every active member can earn a share.
The individual leaderboard tracks each player's efforts across the season. This includes how many squads you send, how many resources you commit, and how often your heroes are involved. Top players will get $LRDS, special EXP cards, and in-game items like Faded Keys of Valor.
How to Join the Event
To contribute, players simply take part within their chosen region. All actions such as donating squads, sending heroes, using Influence, count toward your team's War Power. This score plays a key role in deciding war outcomes.
Blocklords' latest update, v0.2.6.37, adds a new Event Menu to help manage these tasks. The update also includes an in-game tutorial and a direct link to the official wiki. Boost events will show up at set times, including features like Double War Power Buffs that increase the value of your contributions.
Region Wars are scheduled. Once war is declared, it moves forward automatically. You can't cancel, withdraw, or change teams mid-event. Timing and resource management matter more than ever.
Season 4 Progression Tied to Regional Battles
Along with Region Wars, Season 4 has also arrived. It follows the same structure as previous seasons, with a Free and Premium track full of unlockable rewards.
New missions are tied to Region Wars participation. Players will need to contribute to regional fights in order to complete tasks and earn plaques, resources, $LRDS, and other seasonal items. The season ends on February 4, giving players about 6 weeks to climb the ranks.
Region Wars Brings New Rules to Multiplayer Strategy
Blocklords has always included PvP combat and strategy, but Region Wars shifts the focus toward team-based, long-term planning. Regional groups now matter more than individual actions. Players can still perform well on their own, but working together offers a clear advantage.
Once a war starts, both attacking and defending teams commit a portion of their War Power. This cannot be changed. The outcome depends on who contributes more throughout the event period.
Players also can't leave their regions during this time. Region names are permanent for the season. Only rulers (those in charge of each faction) can assign names, and all players must stay in the region they chose at the start.
Leaderboards Are Live
2 leaderboard systems are now running side by side: one tied to Region Wars, and one for the broader Season 4 competition.
Region Wars Leaderboards are split into two parts. The Global Leaderboard tracks how entire regions perform against each other. The top-ranked regions earn a large share of the 500,000 $LRDS prize pool, along with the prestige of leading the wider Blocklords universe. The Regional Rankings focus on individual players within each region. The more you contribute to your team through resources, squads, or hero support, the higher you place. Rulers can also receive extra bonuses based on their region's performance.
Separate from that, the Season 4 Personal Leaderboard tracks your total contributions throughout the season, no matter which region you're in. Every action in every war adds to your score. Players who reach the top can expect $LRDS rewards and a spot among the game's highest-ranked commanders.
A Quick Look at Blocklords
Blocklords is a medieval strategy MMO built by MetaKing Studios. Players take on the role of a hero and begin their journey as a farmer. From there, they can explore different roles (fighter, resource manager, ruler) depending on how they play.
Each hero has its own traits and stats, which improve over time through combat or management. Players can form families, build cities, or rise to power through battle.
The in-game currency, $LRDS, is used to buy items, unlock bonuses, and access premium content. Another resource, Influence, is obtained over time or bought with $LRDS, and plays a key role in large-scale features like Region Wars.
The game also tracks rulers separately. These players can set taxes, control armies, and make political decisions across wide territories. Whether you're focused on battle or management, Blocklords lets players move up by staying active.
