Blankos Block Party Founder's Packs for Sale

Gamers can now join the founder's pack sale for the upcoming party game Blankos Block Party and gain access to the private beta next month. The packs start at 25 dollars and go up all the way to 150 dollars. Each pack comes with a special Blankos characters, which is only available during this pre-sale.

Blankos Block Party is a party game that's all about user generated content. Artists from different fields have designed these characters. James Groman, sculptor of toys by DC Comics, and mange artist Junko Mizuno have created some of the first Blankos characters.

However, there's something that needs to be said about this pre-sale. It seems like there's no hard cap on the distribution. The website doesn't show how many of each are left. The more expensive the pack, the more content and credits the players will get. However, there's no mention about rarity. It could very well be that the cheapest pack turns out to be the most rare.

Starting from November 17th players will be able to use their acquired Blankos in the private beta test. Everybody who buys a pack will have Founder Status inside the game, which potentially comes with benefits in the near future.

Frictionless NFT economy

Blankos Block Party focuses on user generated content, and it introduces a frictionless NFT economy. Earlier this month Play to Earn sat down with Rudy Koch and Cameron Thacker from Mythical Games to talk about game economies and the use of blockchain technology. According to them an NFT-based economy is the ‘next evolutionary step for the games industry’.

Through blockchain technology players get real ownership over the content they buy and create. As a result this creates legitimate secondary markets from players to trade. Soon Blankos Block Party will go into beta, and the team will slowly be scaling up. Before that will happen, they have plans to sell Founder’s Packs. “These items will be some of the rarest we will ever release”, Koch explained. “Based on our user projections for the full launch, we estimate about 1% of our users will own the Founder’s Pack items.”

The team at Mythical has build their dGoods system in such a way that NFTs can move across different chains. Because this way they want to make sure that the technology doesn’t limit the liquidity for players.
