The BinaryX Online Hackathon 2023 is a special event for developers looking to create GameFi projects and receive funding from a prize pool of more than $20k, with financing of up to $500k potentially up for grabs through the launch of an IGO (Initial Game Offering) on their launchpad.
The event started on August 21st and will end on October 4th. You have until September 4th to register for the event, with applications requiring a team size of at least 2 alongside other requirements that include things such as experience in game development and/or Web3, a 200-word brief explaining your submission, and more. A submission period will then take place from September 5th to September 25th, followed by a selection process from September 26th to October 3rd, with the prize giving ceremony taking place a day after the judging period has ended.
The goal of the event is to create an innovative blockchain gaming project that puts gameplay at the core of the experience while having a sustainable tokenomics model. The best project will get $10k, while 2nd place walks away with $5k and 3rd place is awarded with $3k. BinaryX has stated though that they “offer opportunities” for launching an IGO on their blockchain gaming launchpad, so you may a have chance of potentially receiving funding of up to $500k.
There are no fees to pay when applying, and the event is completely remote, with the platform aiming to provide professional mentorship and advisory while featuring your project on their social media channels.
