Experienced mobile game developer Mighty Bear Games is preparing to host an Early Access playtest for its blockchain battle royale, Mighty Action Heroes. The testing phase will take place from March 17th to March 19th, according to the accompanying trailer embedded in the announcement tweet.
The company has stated that this playtest will only be available for “holders and frens” and will include various new goodies for testers to try out. We can see the new features in action in the gameplay video found in the tweet down below, where we can see work-in-progress early access footage showcasing 2 new hero abilities and 2 new features: grenades and player profiles.
The two new abilities are called Dodge Roll and Charge. While the first one is defensively helpful in preventing bullets from hitting your face, the second ability is useful in offensively going head-on at your opponents. The new feature included for this test period is grenades, so now you’ll be able to blow up multiple enemies that fail to escape the circle radius within which the grenade deals significant damage.
Next to these gameplay-focused additions, the developers have also added in the player profile feature, allowing you to create and customize your own profile. From the glimpse given in the early access trailer, it seems that, aside from your name and profile picture, the area will also display your wallet address and achievements.
Those who own a Big Bear Syndicate or Genesis Pass will be able to participate in this early version of the battle royale.
Last year, the Singapore-based studio managed to raise $10 million in a fundraising round led by Framework Ventures.
