OASYX, an NFT project on the Oasys gaming blockchain, has announced the launch of its new app, featuring an AI-powered pet NFT game called RYUZO, co-developed by the research division of gaming publisher Bandai Namco and Attructure.
The game represents the launch of the OASYX Series 2 NFT project, developed by the aforementioned companies and published by doublejump.tokyo, with supervision from Hajime Nakatani, the founder of Bandai Namco Research who has previously worked on various Tekken and SoulCalibur games as a producer.
Owners of OASYX Series 1 NFTs have been airdropped 10k of 1st generation of MARYU eggs, which transform into soulbound tokens called RYU upon hatching. Unlike non-fungible tokens, soulbound ones cannot be transferred nor traded. According to the official guide, players can head to the nurturing screen to use the limited-time feature that will close in July 2024. By clicking “start nurturing RYU” you’ll commence the process of upgrading your MARYU to the next generation, which takes 20 days to do so.
You can interact with your RYU by heading to your inventory on the official website and clicking “Play with RYU” where you’re able to train your pet and view its status, including stats such as Happiness and Emotions which are said to indicate “generation and growth.” More details can be found in the official guide here.
Oasys is a gaming gasless blockchain that has attracted some big names in the video game industry, including Ubisoft, Square Enix, SEGA, Bandai Namco (its research division), and more. Ubisoft’s upcoming Web3 game, Champions Tactics, will be using it.
