Axie Infinity Launched AI-Powered Axie Pals to Help Users Take Care of their Axie NFTs

Axie Infinity released their much-awaited Axie Pals on September 17 in Early Access, and they were publicly available on 26th September. Axie Pals are AI-powered virtual companions who can fight, breed, and build within the Lunacia universe. Axie Pals are launched to improve the gameplay experience and unburden players by taking over some tasks. 

It is integrated into the game through a Google Chrome browser extension, which is now available to Axie NFT owners. The extension will animate Axie NFTs and connect to the Ronin Wallet. With a user experience similar to Tamagotchi, users can feed, pet, and interact with their Axie Pals. Development team Kindred shares while the existing version of Axie Pals is basic, users can expect them to complete more complex behavior and actions in the future. 

Accessing Axie Pals: Step-by-Step Process

Early access to Axie Pals was only available to players who were in the Axie or Ronin Creator Program. Now that it’s open for public access, here’s how to access Axie Pals;

1. Login to kindredlabs.ai/axie and connect your Ronin Wallet. 
2. From the list available, choose 3 Axie Pals, or you can also search for them with an ID number. Players can also swap their Axie Pals as required. 
3. Once selected, install the Axie Pals extension on the Google Chrome web browser on the desktop. 
4. Use the navigation bar through the extension and start interacting with the chosen Axie Pals. 

From here, players can delegate tasks to their Axie Pals to make their work easier. In case players need to change or swap their Axie Pals, they can do it directly from the profile. 

Types of Interaction Players can Have with their Axie Pals

Companion interaction with Axie Pals includes feeding, patting, picking up, waking up, sleeping, and visiting friends. 

• Feeding: Feed Axie Pals delicious treats acquired through missions, levels ups, or in-game shops. 
• Patting: To pat Axie Pals, hover over the companion and move the cursor back and forth. Pat them until the progress circle is complete and earn AXP in return. 
• Picking Up: Click on the Pal and drag them up, move towards right or left, and release them. This also increases the Axie’s mood and XP and brings AXP rewards. 
• Waking Up and Sleeping: Put the Axie to bed or wish them good morning by using the Wake Up/Sleep toggle button. Resting is essential for an Axie Pal to restore their energy. 
• Visiting Friends: Allow Axie Pals to visit friends through the Friends menu. This will enable the Pal to hang out in the backyard with friends.

Axie Pals Adventure Contest 

The launch of Axie Pals follows a contest where players must create the best content with their Axie Pals and their adventures. Players can create clips and share explainer videos and threads to showcase their new friends. 

The content is meant to help the Axie community get familiar with the utility of Axie Pals and excite other players to get their own companions. As interactions with Axie Pals bring rewards, they add to the methods of earning points and experience in Axie. 

The Creator Content Adventure Contest comes bearing prizes for the winners where the most creative content will get 1 Origin Axie NFT and $100 in AXS. Content with most engagements will get $200 in AXS. Similarly, the best and most informative thread using Axie Pals will get $100 in AXS, and there are 10 consolation prizes worth $50 in AXS. 

Celebrating the Launch of Axie Pals with AXS Leaderboard 

The AXS leaderboard is connected to Axie Pals and tracks how a player cares and interacts with their Axie Pals. Based on their engagement, players are rewarded points as they maintain the Care Index of Axie Pals. 

Maintaining the Care Index Score above 70 for 30 minutes delivers 10 points. Players with the highest points at the end of the campaign will AXS in reward.
